Nice hotel would choose to stay again

Travelling to an event in the area and recommended to stay at this hotel, very comfortable and clean room, nice and modern hotel, next to some major roads but the windows were very good in keeping any noise out. Staff were all very friendly and professional. Really nice buffet breakfast however i found it a little expensive for breakfast compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. The overall price however without breakfast was good for the standard of hotel. It was a very pleasant stay and would return if in the area.

6 nights excellent stay

In the region twice a year and always at the Mercure Roeselare. The position is ideal for my business engagements. Room is confortable and including all possible services and there is an excellent restaurant. Parking places are available (woulrd be good if there would be some e-charger with different types of loadigs. I cannot charge my hybrid car). Close to the motorway. Very easy check in and out.

A better example of a Mercure

This is one of Accor's better efforts, despite being situated on a business park. I can think of some really grim Novotels in France in similar surroundings. So friendly staff, big, clean rooms, nice bar and restaurant. But there are always things that annoy. An accessible room where the tea and coffee stuff is on a shelf at eye level for someone standing, so impossible for a wheelchair user. TV only viewable if you are on the bed. And the restaurant menu via QR code on your phone and thus barely readable. If you refuse you get an iPad to look at the menu, not much better. Print the bloody thing out and you won't get deducted two stars on Trip Advisor.

Since the very first opening of this hotel they are facing issues with the hot water system. After several years and several stays, this is still not resolved. They are always working the failures....the french way
