It was all ok except that after several years I think that need some maintenace and upgrade of features in the rooms such us plugs for divices. Another important point is shower gel, shampoo blabla, in the room there is the bath tub but all dispenser of shampoo blabla are only in the shower or only one for hands in bathroom sink so if you have a bath no way to use shampoo or conditioner, few years ago were available small bottles of each product easy to use in any place......not good this dispenser way in a 5 star hotel. For the rest all ok as usual.

For a five star hotel it’s disappointing how thin the walls between rooms seem to be as to be sleep deprived due to audible snoring from the adjoining room is frustrating. My 5 night stay this week is the first time in an Accor hotel where I have not received some sort of gift and acknowledgement of my loyalty to Accor in my room. Other guests commented to me that it seems this hotel is cutting costs as the food and drinks offerings on the 29th floor in the late afternoon were inferior to usual experiences. The spa is overpriced and noisy but 24 hour access to the gym is great. Many of the staff speak little English but all said, while it’s a hotel that seems to be declining, it’s still a convenient option when visiting Guangzhou for business.

I’ve consistently had a great experience staying at this hotel, and overall the property and service have met expectations. However, one recurring issue stands out and needs attention. Despite being a repeat guest at this property and holding a high-tier loyalty status, this has never been acknowledged or recognized during my stays. Requests for late checkout are almost never accommodated despite eligibility, and what’s particularly disappointing is how these requests are handled. The staff typically step aside to quietly consult with a manager, who does not engage directly or acknowledge the guest, and the request is declined without any clear consideration or explanation. On my most recent stay, the request was only approved after I had to be quite insistent, which felt uncomfortable and inappropriate given my continued patronage. This is not the level of service one would expect for a loyal, high-tier guest. In many other hotels, such status is recognized proactively, and late checkout is either offered or handled with far greater consideration. Here, it feels like both loyalty and repeat business are neither acknowledged nor valued. I hope the management can address this gap, as recognizing and valuing returning guests would significantly improve the overall experience.
