We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel Guangzhou immensely. The food, in particular, has made our stay memorable. There is a diverse array of selection and the best Croissant at the breakfast buffet. The afternoon tea and hors d'oeuvres at the executive lounge was memorable. We loved the Éclair and Canelé(we have this every time we dine here)! We would like to pay our special thanks to Yvonne, Lilian, Michelle and my room attendant, for the room arrangement, great services and assistance during my stay.

This was my 6th visit at the hotel in 2 years, I have always come for leisure with my wife and two teenage kids. The booking went very smoothly thanks to the hard work of Ashley (front desk + lounge) who is definitely an asset for the hotel when it comes to building relationships with guests like us. As an Accor gold member I was upgraded to a nice prestige suite on the 17th floor. Despite the many guests at the hotel there was always enough for everyone at the lounge for the High tea and the Happy hour. It is really a plus to be able to propose French Champagne during this time. Breakfast is amazing as the choice is wide and the room is huge so it is easy to find a nice spot to enjoy the breakfast. May I suggest that there will be more small bottles of orange juice as it is sometimes mixed with the Mango bottles on the display to prevent any waste. Overall a relaxing and worry-free stay

Has been many years always stay in this Sofitel when I visit Guangzhou. Whole team just help me to provide any request of my life. Thanks to Michelle Mi for advanced arrangement. Thanks for Mr. William Che always has a card to welcome me. The lounge is nice and felt like my home. Room was upgraded as before, nice and clean. I booked 4 nights but check out one night earlier due to the pandemic.

Really appreciated Miss Michelle Mi concerned my health code when the related area was affected during my stay. Then she aggressively help me to contact my next day visiting point for the pandemic alert. She showed the concerning to guest till very late for my first night. Thanks for William has such good team. Lounge service is excellent. I had my breakfast and happy hour in the lounge. The food is excellent, the service is very good. The team in lounge is professional.

Best Choice for your stay in Guangzhou

This is my third stay with Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich and it's always a pleasant to stay with them. Located in Guangzhou downtown it closes to the Tianhe Road and Zhujiang New Town - prosperous area of Guangzhou. The service standard of the hotel is really high during my visit with their concierge / front-desk and Club Millésime team. As an Accor Plus Platinum member, I've received complimentary room upgrade to their prestige suite and a Chinese New Year complimentary amenities. The suite is spacious and cozy with a stylish design despite the hotel was opened in 2011. Personally, I really enjoy the view from the window – skyline of Zhujiang New Town and Canton Tower. The Club Millésime is located at 29th floor of the hotel with a spectacular view, staff in the club lounge are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour are served in the lounge for customers with lounge access. The food and drinks served in the lounge are really nice. I will definitely return to Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich for more stays coming forward and I highly recommend people to stay with them when they’re travelling to Guangzhou. It’s one of the best properties of Accor Hotels in Guangzhou.

I wrote an other report before, so therefore I would like to mention my very positive experience with Lauren, the guest relation manager of the Sofitel in Guangzhou. when I was waiting at the front desk to extend my stay, Lauren asked me how she can help me. We went to her desk where she made sure that everything worked out smoothly. When I checked-out of the hotel, I saw her sitting at her desk and waved her a quick good bye, since she was on the phone. But I was very positively surprised that Lauren came outside where I waited for the taxi and wanted to know my feedback about my stay. I really appreciate that Sofitel takes customers input seriously. We had a very nice chat. That is what makes the difference - creating a personal experience. Nice stay but service mindset could've been better

Every year we spend quite a lot on dining at this Sofitel, but this was the first time we stayed here. Room and eqiupment - in general it was excellent, nicely decorated room (basic room type), well equipped gym/pool/lounge as well as other facilities. Service wise - Over the years we have stayed at many different hotels across various groups, and this was one of the very rare few times we didn't really feel welcomed by a hotel in terms of staff's friendliness and service attitude, especially in the executive lounge. When we first arrived at the lounge, there was no greetings nor a simple hello from the staff behind the reception desk. During happy hour in the evening, there was hardly any refill of food even when the plates were empty for a long time. When some bottles of wines were finished there was also no refill despite that we had reminded the staff a few times. Lounge wasn't busy (half full) but for a long time no one came to take away empty plates, even though many staff had walked past our table. Lounge staff made no effort at all in making any conversations or making guests feel welcomed. We do understand it's not an easy job and the staff still fulfill their minimum duty, but a basic service mindset, some extra training on service, and a certain level of friendliness are really missing there, and it doesn't give a positive image a Sofitel hotel is expected to demonstrate. We enrolled in an Accor membership challenge (for a higher level) on Accor's official channel on fliggy.com, and used one of the two nights package we had purchashed. But this stay didn't really give us an impression that it was worthwhile to go for a higher membership level or there's hardly any benefit of becoming a higher level member. We still look forward to our next stay and hopefully seeing some improvement on the service and friendliness. Still a few people to recognize - Doris Liu for her prompt reply to our email inquiry and arranging a welcome gift in our room; Alisa from Guest Relationship for calling us for feedback after checkout; Lauren for her kind assistance at check in; and Sherry at the lounge who was always kind and friendly when we went there for breakfast.

spent the weekend in Guangzhou and stayed at the Sofitel. Its in a very accessible location and the hotel is smartly presented. The staff we pleasant and helpful although the check in desk didn't explain clearly the benefits of membership to which I am a diamond member. Most staff were friendly particularly Caven Wu (Concierge) was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extremely enjoyable with lots of choices. I went to the Grill for dinner and enjoyed a really nice steak and although they didn't have a lot of choice of wine, they did price match which made me feel happy. Overall, the hotel is nice but I didn't feel like a special customer. After spending the whole year using Accor hotels and being at their top level membership, I would expect them to know me a little better than a normal customer. If your looking for a nice hotel with good food and rooms, then this matches that. I would stay here again especially for the room and food.

This was an extremely special occasion for us as it was our 10th wedding anniversary, and we were married in the Sofitel guangzhou 10 years ago. It was special to come back to the same place to celebrate together. The service was absolutely phenomenal and all staff went out of their way to make this time a memorable and luxurious experience. The food and drink was outstanding, particularly the beef cooked by the new head chef. Genuinely an excellent experience all round. The room was sublime: spacious clean and comfortable and the L’Occitane shower gels werr also a very nice touch not found in any other hotel.

I had a fantastic stay with Sofitel Guangzhou. Maeve and Julia were two Administrative Assistants that helped me greatly and without them my stay would have been much more difficult. They were helpful and were able to help translate and answer questions for me. I would highly recommend this hotel based off my experience with these two. The facilities are very nice and the staff are all well mannered and helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay this time, not to my surprise. The usual drill is fine: nice lounge, great service, etc. But what I really wanted to write about is how I was greatly assisted when I just entered the lounge for check in, only to find that I had left my phone in the DIDI ride. The lounge staff went out of his way to call DIDI center on my behalf and then also talk to the driver and concierge later to have helped me retrieve my phone effortlessly. All i had to do literally was just to sit and wait. What a lifesaver! This has once again reaffirmed my confidence in this property as my first choice in Guangzhou.
