Waitui Pool Upgrade Project. We're excited to announce that the Waitui Beach Club pool at Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa will undergo a full upgrade from 11 January to 24 February 2027, including retiling and resurfacing. During this period, Waitui Beach Club will be temporarily closed. Guests are welcome to enjoy our main resort pool, while exclusive beachfront cabanas will be made available for adults. Wow- we loved the new room decor and how clean it was. Had the family wing room 289. was great. Didn‘t hear the construction noise.
Wonderful spot. Pool is cold. Needs to be a bit warmer. Slides are fun! And water obstacle course. Was disappointed to have a $60 bill for the kids club when we were there ourselves watching the kids for 10min of the Session. Emailed to query, but no response yet. Solis beach restaurant was delicious. Best meal in fiji. Buffet had great crab!
Breakfast buffet is chaotic and you often need to que. It‘s loud too. Kids club playground is great. Gardens and bird life are lovely. Their are frogs in the ponds and banana trees with birds. Mum loved the cocktail class. Check out early and settle bill before. We had to drag our bags ourselves as we couldn‘t wait to get to the airport.

Excellent experience, service, food and cleanliness 9.5/10. The only complaint was the aircon was terribly noisy and kept going on full bore and then slowing down every 10minutes causing much disruption to sleep.

This was my second visit to Fiji and my first staying at the Sofitel. The room was fabulous and the Watui Beach Club was so peaceful, being adults only. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. I could not fault anything.

When we booked there was no warning their was a major construction site next door that starts at 7am. Also they hols a lot of wedding = 3 in 3 days and they hold them in the middle of the complex so also expect loud music at nights. The hotel was well appointed but not as good as the last one we stayed at that was lower cost. Breakfast was OK but so many of the hot dishes had no heating, so they were luke warm or cold. I liked the pool area and the kids club was well appointed. I would not return.

Having just spent 3 nights at the Marriott Momi Bay, it was probably going to be difficult adjusting to the size and energy your hotel delivers. We were travelling with our 14 year old which is a hard age as she is not into the 'kids' activities and still, not yet an adult. From time we arrived and left, your staff were AMAZING. I just hoped we would have more opportunity to get away from the beautiful madness of 100's of young doing what they should do. Having noted the stunning looking plans for the new Sofitel next door. Maybe this will allow more opportunities for a family like ours experience a more premium and quiet environment.
Also, while we were there, during a 24 hour period we had 2 complete power failures. One while dining and the other in our room. No comms were presented at all relating to this.

I couldn't enjoy the facility and the dining because i got sick on arrival to the hotel and had to cut my trip short due to medical reasons and fly back to Auckland. I was really looking forward to enjoying my holiday but unfortunately had to cancel and financial loss at the same time. Hard work has been loss.
But definitely I will come soon to re visit.
