Sofitel is fantastic overall, particularly Waitui Beach Club. It’s a lovely resort. The gym facilities are excellent. The only disappointment were the Solis menu which is limited, the lack of room upgrade options to Accor members, and the initial allocation of a room close to the elevators and construction zone. The team did change us to a more suitable room on request, which we are thankful for, but after staying at this resort 3 times in the last 12 months it was disappointing to be allocated to this room in the first place. I don’t know what it takes to get offered the $3 waitui sunglasses but we are 0 for 3 on this front too haha.

I celebrated my birthday at Waitui Beach Club last week, and from the moment we arrived we knew we were in for something special. We were warmly welcomed by Ozzy and the concierge team before being whisked away to the exclusive Waitui Club - such a wonderful start to our stay. Every single day exceeded our expectations. The staff were absolutely incredible - always smiling, genuinely friendly and going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The setting is the best I’ve experienced at any resort - peaceful, spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. The food was consistently delicious with impeccable service throughout. We loved the thoughtful touches like beach towels set up on our loungers, canapés and refreshments during the day and the stunning sunset cocktail hour. A truly special highlight was the beautiful singing from the staff for my birthday - it was such a touching and memorable surprise and something I’ll never forget. Breakfast on the beach was a standout - fresh coconuts (with rum if you like!), barista coffee and a fantastic mix of à la carte and buffet options. Such a special way to start each day. A huge thank you to the amazing team - Issac, Daniel, Livi, Izzy, Neroni, Joe, Tatio, Grace, Tia, Lepani, Paulina, Kata, Selai, Ennocci at the coconut stand (Bula!), and the wonderful young man at reception whose name began with E. Apologies to anyone I’ve missed - you all made our stay unforgettable! Also a special mention to Tik Tok and Luke (buggy drivers), Inia at the main gate, Mary in the pillow shop, housekeeping and the gardeners. What really stood out was how happy and welcoming everyone was - it made such a difference. We were so sad to leave after six nights and already can’t wait to return - next time for longer! This has easily become our go-to holiday resort. There truly is nowhere better - paradise with the most genuinely warm and wonderful people :-)

My family and I had a fabulous stay at the Sofitel to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Extremely thoughtful staff across the resort and their attention to detail including remembering everyones name is outstanding! we will be back!
