Lack of sleep

Bed was not fit for purpose, if your partner moved in the bed it was like a shockwave though out the bed like been on the sea in rough weather. Need to spend money on new beds because for 5 nights had worst sleep ever.

Well presented Hotel with great staff

Abhi on reception was incredible. He made the experience so much better for us. Nothing was a problem, he was friendly, courteous and arranged for us whatever was needed to make us feel comfortable and improve our experience with the Hotel. Very grateful to have had the opportunity to meet him and have him look after us. Our room was a little bland, needing for me, at least perhaps some more colour, such as a large colourful painting in the lounge. Otherwise, the room was nice. Breakfast in the morning was a mixed bag. Our hostess was less interactive and the eggs were overdone on one day and without a buttered muffin or ciabatta can make the food dry. The club lounge and our club lounge host was friendly and helpful. Overall, in a COVID concerning world, it was great to find the club lounge operating and most of the amenities available unlike other Hotels, particularly in Wellington. Well done - Soffitel and thank you again to Abhi.

The staff were exceptional and really made our stay. The location is great - right in town and close to the lake. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom well appointed, as was the room with a coffee machine, milk, glasses and cups. The room was quiet and comfortable. We loved it.

We appreciate the well appointed room and generous treatment. Dinner at restaurant was superb. We'd absolutely love to stay and dine there again. Disappointed that the hammam wasn't operating due to alert level 2, but we understood the situation.
