Very professional and friendly staff, told us the best place to park for free ,room was clean and had good coffee and tea the breakfast was fantastic, definitely recommend this hotel

The location of this hotel is the only thing going for it. Wished I read the reviews before I booked. 1.The rooms are dated and poky. 2. Very limited everything! 3. Went to the bar mid afternoon on Xmas Day for a drink to be told no alcohol was being served as they didn’t want people walking off the street and drinking in the bar. The alcohol was for hotel guests only. That’s great, but we were hotel guests! 4. The freight train child in the room above that jumped and ran and banged all day and night except for when it was asleep! 5. Called reception and no one answered, a message came up to advise I could request a call back. I never got a call back

My wife uses a wheelchair, and I'm afraid Novotel Queenstown lags way behind other hotels in Queenstown. We booked in November, and was told that no Accessible room was available. However, a note was made on our booking to check whether such a room became available. I never heard back, so rang the hotel a day or so before arrival, and was told that an accessible room was available to us. No-one had contacted us previously. However, on check-in, we were told that no accessible room was available, but one with a walk-in shower was available. The check-in person was very helpful. Unfortunately the room wasn't really suitable - the walk-in shower was much too small for access from a wheelchair, and the room, although very nice, was too small for a wheelchair to navigate, so my wife was very stressed doing simple things like getting to the bathroom. As always we enjoyed Queenstown, and we like the Novotel (we've stayed there previously when my wife was more mobile), but the room did spoil things somewhat.
