We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and had a lovely bottle of champagne that we had brought with us. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the rose garden. We were not able to drink our own beverages outside our room on our patio, and were asked to move away from the hotel towards the park. This was very upsetting as we asked to move just after I had opened the bottle.

Excellent facilities, very nice restaurant and spa pool. Staff were mostly very friendly, pleasant and helpful. My only minor criticism was when we had a late lunch and dinner there were only a few diners but our meals took a very long time to come out. The food itself was very nice.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome on our honeymoon! The hotel breakfast was great and the location of the hotel was very nice.

We loved our stay at Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. So close to the lake & the kids loved the park just 20m away from our room. Also close to shops, restaurants & supermarkets. The bedrooms are a little small & bedding was not quite comfortable... too soft. Room service was very disappointing. Very expensive & we received an extremely small portion of veggies.

The room was nice enough but the bathroom was a disappointment.. the toilet water ran and didn't stop and overall it looked really aged and tired the hotel has great location but didn't offer parking without a fee. Overall it was ok but unless there is an upgrade in will consider all options available at the time.

Our Maintenance team will look at the flushing unit. Unfortunately due space limitations the hotel does not have a large carpark, we use the Wilson carpark to valet park guest cards which is a direct cost to us we pass on to our guests We have engaged architects and planners and are working on a refurbishment plan for the next phase of the Hotel. Our aim is to do our best to ensure our staff are friendly and look after our guests and that we keep the hotel clean and as well maintained as possible. We are working on a number of projects to do what we can while await these works. These have included new large screen smart TVs with 50+ channels of Sky, New WIFi system, new Spa, New beds in most rooms with the remainder being completed soon, new feather bed toppers, blankets and pillows, alarm clocks and a number of other projects that we have completed or are working on. It is hope that these things help with the comfort of our guests while we wait for the works to be started. Our stay was pleasant, bed was comfortable and enjoyed the small balcony. Location is great, walking distance to town centre. As we arrived earlier than check in, we left our bags and received a phone call to let us know the room was available earlier than expected. The small gift in the room was a kind and lovely touch. The only downside is the concierge, they were not the most friendly, in particular the older asian man who had a very loud voice and barked at us when we asked him a couple of questions, his manners could use some improvement. All other staff we encountered were friendly.

Staff were very pleasant, the tour booking staff did not seem to know the tours very well at all. Rooms pleasant enough, however bathrooms need an upgrade, get rid of the bath and creat more room.

Bloody noisy air con unit

You could not have heating running at night. The Heating outdoor unit sounded like a bus running outside. Had to turn off to get some sleep. These outdoor units should never have been installed on an outdoor wall made of timber.
