We hired a car to drive down to Queenstown only to find out there are no on-site parking available that day/night, and if there were it was only valet parking at $50 NZD a day. We drove around town and street parking was limited and expensive. Luckily we found one and paid $6.50 an hour (free 6pm - 9am next day). The next day the hotel had an available on-site car park fortunately. I would suggest the ability to book a car park at the time of hotel room booking. The staff at front desk were friendly and helpful, and spoke many languages. However as a gold member I did not get a room upgrade, could be due to availability? Also did not get a chocolate or a welcome gift in the room. The bathroom was a bit run down. Suggest to NOT use curtains as they can get mouldy and it's not hygienic.

My wife and I had flown in from Melbourne and stayed at Novotel. It is very centrally located in Queenstown, very near downtown and lots of shops, and yet, it did seem like it was in a relatively quiet area of town. It took about 5 minutes to get to the heart of shopping centers, restaurants, and cruise ships. Room seemed so nice and clean. Not that we used it, but we were surprised that there was a bathtub - first one after 15 days in Australia! And ... a first for us: Heated towel rack! Oooh, on a cold day or after a shower, it feels so good against the skin! One item that is missing are electrical outlets near the beds - they're across the room! Why doesn't a hotel place electrical outlets by each bedside? Another problem: if you are using an electrical converter, many of the outlets are very close to the "On/Off" button, so if you push the converter too high and/or high, it's turned off! You'd think that the "On/Off" button would be positioned higher so the electrical converter would affect it, Breakfast was about 'normal' for hotel - nothing unusual or outstanding. Service people were very friendly and helpful.

Rude receptionist, couldn’t check into the room even after 2pm, and room was noisy can hear the sound from streets; breakfasts is average, try avoid and there are lots cafes nearby, not worth the value.
