Stayed 5 nights with my family. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and restaurant were both very good. The room was large enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was average. Location and layout of the hotel is wonderful. The hotel is very central and a stones throw away from the lake, resturants, and shops.

Can't really get a more convenient location. The staff we helpful enough but never went above and beyond. Booked direct through the hotel hoping that might get us a nice room but we got what must have been the worst room. For some reason we got the accessible room which had a shower which made a pool in the whole bathroom. The sink had no space for toiletries. Couldn't stop the extractor fan which was very loud at night. Lighting was very poor. And no access to outside. We probably won't be back and wouldn't recommend to others.

The room was very room was tired and worn, close to the restaurants and main area.

The room was very tired and worn, bathroom was tight on space. When I complained, the manager did move us to a better room but would have liked to have experienced this from the start as I booked well in advance for a 60th Birthday celebration, would not recommend this hotel.

Queenstown itself is delightful. Staying at the delightful Novotel made the stay even better. I arrived in the dark after an full-day bus ride from Rotorua, After lugging my bags for several blocks from the bus in damp cold air, I wasn't in the best humor on arrival at the Novotel, but the welcoming staff, warmed me right up. My room was just right, comfortable without being too fussy and very clean. I was tired, but very hungry. The concierge suggested a number of places in a variety of styles of food and restaurants. I also really needed to walk and set out through the neighborhood where I indeed found what I wanted, though there were many great choices. I felt very safe in the location. Best of all, when I finally settled down for the evening, the bed was really comfortable and I slept very well. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Queenstown and hope to visit again.
