Good experience at the novotel in warsaw. Unfortunately there are two different types of buildings inside of the building. One renovated, the other not. I stayed in the old one which was okay, but I would have loved to either be asked or made aware before booking that this was a non-renovated room.

First of all, booking was difficult due to geoblocking which kicked in by CloudFlare preventing Online Check-in. Calling hotel was abysmally difficult because either hotel staff or automated system keeps rejecting calls from USA and sometimes even from Poland as well - having to repeatedly keep calling until someone bothers to pick up the phone and not block incoming calls. At reception, lady attempted to charge a roommate for a hotel room when the room was already pre-paid AND that lady was made over the phone aware of the fact roommate will arrive earlier - thankfully because of my intervention, this has been promptly corrected, although it felt as-if reception lady was praying on a tourist. One of the main reasons for booking this hotel was the insistence of the roommate that he needs a laundry service provided by the hotel. However, when it came time to use this, it turned out that laundry service is available Monday to Thursday, instead of daily and is unavailable on the weekend. At night strange people keep bothering anyone who walks near Novotel being a nuisance.
