Convenient Location in Well Designed Room

Djrm Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

The executive rooms have a modern vibe and reasonably appointed for a solo traveller or with your partner. Like many hotels in Edinburgh there is no true air condition rather a cooling ventilation system, windows that slightly open and fan. It turned out to suitably comfortable, Breakfast buffet was good; but very busy at times due to high occupancy and large tour groups. Only area for improvement make down pillows an option for the room and provide face clothes.

Dear DJRM, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you found our executive rooms convenient and well-designed. We appreciate your feedback regarding the air conditioning system and will take this into consideration. It's great to know that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet, although we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the high occupancy. We will certainly consider your suggestions regarding the pillows and face clothes. We hope to welcome you back soon for another pleasant stay. Neli Stoyanova Front office manager

Nice hotel in a good location however felt over-charged. A charge for robes, umbrellas, etc. Using the pool is a procedure which requires a separate key card (you have to get one every single time you want to go) and lengthy waiver signing at reception. Staff were not friendly. Room was clean but housekeeping did not refill toilet paper, tea or cups. Not our typical Accor experience

Dear April, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We will review our charging policies for additional amenities and improve our procedures to ensure a smoother guest experience. Your comments about the staff's friendliness and housekeeping services have been noted and will be addressed internally. We appreciate your valuable input and regret that your stay did not meet the standards you expect from Accor hotels. Neli Stoyanova Front office manager

Great. Mini fridge was a nice touch. Parking insanely expensive but it’s city centre. Polite staff

Dear Adam, Thank you for your positive review. We are delighted to hear that you found our mini fridge a nice touch and appreciated our polite staff. We understand that parking costs can be high in the city centre. We hope to welcome you back soon. Neli Stoyanova Front office manager

Hotel is very convenient for the city centre and the lobby area and restaurant nice although the paintwork in the lobby looks a bit shabby in places. Room was okay but I’M. not sure it was worth paying for the superior over the standard. Several large obvious stains on the carpet, shower not very powerful and the fridge didn’t keep things cold, just cooler than room temperature (which was very warm, particularly at night). Kids enjoyed the pool but shame they had to be 16 to use the hot tub which is a much higher age restriction than anywhere else we’ve stayed. Staff very friendly apart from one busy breakfast where we were greeted by quite an abrupt man who wasn’t very welcoming. Breakfast selection was fine and the food was okay but uninspiring. Shame you can’t warm any of the pastries or toast the bagels as the toaster is for bread only. The dinner menu was very limited so we didn’t eat at the hotel at night. We’ve stayed in the Edinburgh Park Novotel before and found it was much more child friendly and they really welcomed the children and made it a great stay for them but I didn’t feel like that was the case here. The staff didn’t even speak to them, even as they stood next to us at check in. I think we would go back to Edinburgh Park if staying in Edinburgh at a Novotel again. Overall fine but expensive for the standard of service and rooms.

Dear Keith M., Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate your positive comments about our convenient location and the pleasant ambiance of our lobby and restaurant. We regret to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay, such as the condition of the room, stains on the carpet, and the performance of the shower and fridge. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We have noted your concerns regarding the age restriction for the hot tub, breakfast experience, and limited dinner menu. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to improve our services. We are sorry that your children did not feel as welcome during their stay. Rest assured, we will address these areas with our team to ensure a more welcoming experience for all guests. Should your travels bring you back to Edinburgh, we would welcome the opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable stay. Neli Stoyanova Front office manager

Perfect location for our quick stay. Convenient to shopping on Royal Mile and Victoria Street, plenty of neighborhood food and beverage options. Enjoyed an evening snack and some drinks in the hotel bar.
