One of my favorite hotels in Algiers despite a few maintenance issues

I did hurt my forehead in the shower head leaving me a small injury. The water jet was so weak and i had to get closer to the shower head, and oops i did get hurt while my eyes were closed with shampoo around. Need to improve the showers. I stayed in room 821.

As soon I enter the room the ceiling felt in front of me with plenty of water. The electric plugs in the room were not working The Room Service was not working: I asked for a mint tea (on the card), they did not have, I agree for a green tea, they called me one hour later saying they will bring it to me. The kitchen is at the opposite side of the building, there are no room service in the room floors.

The hotel is so worn out. No overhaul or maintenance is being done. No power outlet in the room unless you unplug the tv. Nothing next to the bed either so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. Lights not working, very dirty carpets, lift in very bad shape… the restaurant is also the bare minimum. Breakfast quality is passable at best. Checkin and checkout were both painful. Although I had booked from the app with my credit card, I had to use it again at checkin, but it didnt work as they dont have contactless (card is on my phone) so I needed to use another card with higher conversion fee. And I had to use it again at checkout, although I have left a deposit at checkin. I will definitely not come back. Absolutely not on par with what is expected from a Mercure, and this is a shame for the Accor group although I am a Gold member.

Overrated for the price I was charged DA 18600.

The room is outdated old need an upgrade the same for the furniture and the bothersome is very old for the price I paid I found that it’s exaggerated for sure not again in the future

I had a reservation for 3 nights but I did one night and I canceled the other 2. I moved to Residence Inn hotel. Very bad breakfast, almost I found nothing to eat and very bad service.
