Check in took forever. " New computer system" Can't open window for air and air conditioning did not cool enough. ( And this was November!) Amazing location literally across street from airport check in. Annoyed that we asked whether there was food/ restaurant available before security at the airport and they said NO. Described their own restaurant and 2 towns we could taxi to for food. WRONG. Discovered too late that there are many food options before security. Crazy expensive hotel ...we expected better.

I had a lengthy stopover in Athens and this was a great option for a 'day pass' to hotel. Allowing me to have a nice room to rest, work, shower and enjoy a great meal. Staff were lovely and very professional. Rooms was excellent. Literally across the road from the airport, I highly recommend!

I can’t speak highly enough of this hotel , we had an early flight and we were at the end of a busy week. Check in was slick, the room beautiful and perfectly equipped, we had swim and a sauna to relax followed by dinner on the top floor. The food was sublime and the service surpassed excellent, we were looked after the very charming Dimitris ( the tall one ) who made our evening with his wit and subtle professionalism, he is a credit to the Sofitel group. Everything was fabulous.

What a wonderful place to stay after a long flight of if leaving on one. I made a video review of the hotel on YouTube titled: Athens Greece Sofitel Airport Hotel - V-Log Full Tour with Narration and review. We arrived at the hotel around 10:00 am and we were checked in and our room was ready which was so nice. The room was beautiful with a fantastic bed and pillows. We had a nice lunch in the hotel restaurant and had the hors-d'-oeuvres for dinner in the executive club room. I have to say the executive room was a nice get away and we took in breakfast there the following morning. I highly recommend visiting the rooftop restaurant and bar which is really nice. The location is fantastic - you walk out the front door, across the road and you are in the terminal. Go up one level and you are at ticketing which is so nice. Highly recommend this hotel with 5-star service.
