Booked 1 night for 2 people from same household. Staff were efficient and pleasant at checkin and when ordering food. Room was basic but clean however it was freezing cold when we arrived about 4 pm and took about 6 hours to get to a "normal" temperature. The toilet flush didn't work properly took several attempts to clear the toilet and made an horrendous noise when refilling. ... so much so we didn't want to flush it in the night. One of the uplighters in the room did not work leaving the room with a dreary appearance. I realise that all soft furnishing had been taken out due to COVID restrictions but as we had to eat in our room having only one wooden chair for two people didn't really work....another wooden chair when it's a double room please. Internal lock on door was not working due ,I think, to misalignment. For such a cold room the duvet was very thin...never been so glad that I packed a hot water bottle.

After having the maintenance team investigate some of the issues, I can confirm that the toilet has a new water saving feature installed, this performs two types of flushes dependent on how the handle is pressed, the noise must of been an air lock in the pipes which has now corrected itself, apologies about that. The light bulb has now been replaced and the door re-aligned, thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. The reception can provide additional items on request, such as an additional duvet, or portable heater. All rooms are the Ibis brand standard set up and haven't had anything removed other than a welcome pack, an extra chair can also be requested from the reception team if required. The room was spacious and well kitted out. It was nice and warm and bed was comfy. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only downside was a partially blocked sink and smell of drains in the bathroom. The food was basic but at least an effort was made to have something available. Can’t complain too much as it was a no frills hotel.

I needed an hotel at very short notice as my husband was unexpectedly kept in a nearby hospital due to a complication. The staff were brilliant, really helpful & friendly, Because of Covid the room was a little different on this occasion, but warm & comfortable. The only problem was the wind/rain lashing something outside against the window - but the hotel can't control the weather!

This was a last minute stay as my husband had to be kept in a nearby hospital overnight around an hour from our home. It was warm, convenient, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I needed somewhere to stay overnight before working on the Preston Grasshoppers RUFC site, travelling from Carlisle. The Ibis couldn't have been better located - straight off the motorway and only a few minutes from the location I was working at. Check-in was simple, the room was warm and comfortable and I had a good night's sleep.

Always good value for money for this location. Staff courteous and polite. I was very happy with my room type request being allocated. The room is basic neat tidy and clean. I still sanitise touch points myself on arrive to be sure. The carpet had a few unsightly stains which need to be dealt with and the metal strip on the bathroom door does not look good with rust marks. Needs a deep clean or an update soon. The food I had was fresh and tasty rather than having to order in delivery from unknown suppliers during the restaurant closure period The Village at £29 is a close competitor for me when travelling but I will still return when in location.

The carpets are cleaned professionally and on a regular bases but some of the carpets are unfortunately stained beyond repair and will need replacing. Cleaning of bathroom (Wash basin) questionable. Obvious traces of what looked like dried sputum in wash basin. Only 1 toilet roll supplied Bottom (internal) kick plate on bathroom door evidence of staining?

After personally going to inspect this room and wash basin, I can confirm that the sink has been marked/melted slightly, possibly from a cigarette and at first glance this does look unclean and could resemble a left over residue. I will report the issue to the maintenance team, thank you for highlighting the issue. Usually each room is provided 2 toilet rolls, however due to the covid-19 virus, it was decided to reduce this to 1 as every roll in the bathroom is to be binned after each guest, whether or not has been used, so in order to reduce waste we reduced it to 1 roll. On the welcome letter, we provide the information to ask our 24/7 reception team for any additional items you may require. The kick plate does appear to have some rust forming, which is probably due to the moisture levels in the bathroom, I will ask the maintenance to remove and de-rust, thank you for highlighting this also. We had to travel for a NHS appointment which made an overnight stay essential. The IBIS were so helpful. The welcome is warm and friendly. Limited services due to Covid but we felt safe and looked after. Thanks to all who work hard in very stretching circumstances.

Staff were fantastic and helpful. Bed had thin mattress with hard base quite uncomfortable. Windows were not suitable to keep noise out especially as motorway close by. Room seemed clean except for a hair on shower wall which didn't bother me just sprayed it away. Priced very well and location for me ideal. Must praise the staff again the lady who helped me on reception and the young lad on the desk got my meal sorted for me.

I am surprised that you found the "Sweetbed" by Ibis un-comfortable as it usually receives rave reviews, there is a thin mattress topper on top of the actual mattress and then the base. I do however appreciate that bed firmness and bedding types are down to personnel preference, sorry it wasn't to your liking. I am pleased that you found all the team friendly and helpful. Perhaps you may find a room on the opposite side of the building quieter, the rooms on the motorway side, do have an extra set of windows. I hope to welcome you again. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was very cold on arrival. At this time of year rooms should be pre-heated for arriving guests. This should not be a problem with such low occupancy at the moment.
