Nice Stay

On arrival I was worried about this hotel as there was construction work going on outside it. However once inside I was greeted and they let me leave my luggage there as my room wasn't ready due to me arriving early. However once I returned they checked me in promptly and my room was spacious and comfortable. Although the bathroom door was slightly damaged and would not fully close, which wasn't an issue but I'm sure can be rectified. I did mention it when I checked out and they took the feedback on board. Also far as the location of the hotel went, it was very centrally located from bars, restaurants and the train and bus stations of the city and would consider staying here again should I return to Glasgow.

Cathy A Couples - TripAdvisor review

We have stayed in ibis hotels a few times over the years depending on the the type of holiday/travel we are doing. We could not fault the friendly service and all round quality for an inexpensive hotel at the Glasgow Sauchiehall St. The room is small as is for the Ibis brand but it was clean and well equipped. A special mention to Natasha on the front desk who was nothing but helpful with our endless questions.

Room was ok, lovely and clean, breakfast was just the best! We were not made aware of the road works before our visit, had we had known we would have stayed else where! Very hard to get to due to all the road works/roads being closed. Also the work men starting work at 6am!

Dear Lindsay B, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your positive comments about the room cleanliness and breakfast. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the road works and the early start of work. Your concerns have been duly noted, and we will strive to ensure a more peaceful stay for our guests in the future. We hope to welcome you back for an improved experience. Kind regards, Janice ibis Glasgow City Centre - Sauchiehall Street

Jamjet10 Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Hotel is tired. Very thin walls, windows that don't close properly and the bathroom is like some sort of a pod which wouldn't be so bad but for the old fashioned cupboard style door catch which is so loud you can not only wake up whoever you are sharing with but can hear the neighbours too. Staff were lovely but breakfast was a let down too. Needs refurbished before we would return.

Dear Jamjet10, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your kind words about our staff. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the noise and the condition of your room. Your comments have been duly noted, and we will address them accordingly. We strive to provide a comfortable stay for all our guests and will take your suggestions into consideration for future improvements. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Janice ibis Glasgow City Centre - Sauchiehall Street

Ruth I TripAdvisor review

Me and my friend stayed here on halloween for a gig at the hydro for the night. Staff were nice when we checked in. The room we were in was fine, clean etc.. but there was construction going on outside on the building opposite that was very loud even with the windows shut which wasnt ideal but it is what it is. Fast forward to coming home from our gig at around 11.30pm and we had brought food with us to eat, staff at reception gave us cutlery and we went on our way to our room. We were watching tv and eating when we heard knocking at our door, and we looked through the peep hole to see a man standing almost out of view (I could only see his shoulder/arm) me and my friend were freaked out so didnt answer it.. they proceeded to knock 2 more times after this but still trying to hide out of sight. There was also a door in our room that clearly led to the room next door, ours was unlocked but the other was locked and we heard the person next door playing with their door, almost like they were trying to open it into our room. We went back to eating our food and 5 minutes later we were met with someone literally banging our door, like a swat team or something. We both got a fright and asked who it was and someone shouted "RECEPTION!" really loud and abruptly.. so we answered and were met with a male member of staff who proceeded to tell us they had apparently recieved noise complains from our room from our television. We didnt even have the tv that loud, and we were just eating our food so we were confused at this. We apologised and told the memeber of staff about the man hiding at our door and how we were freaked out by it, the staff member completely disregarded our concerns and just told us to keep the noise down. It wasnt a pleasant interaction considering we just told him we were worried about the man at our door. We went to sleep not long after this. I was then woken up at 7am by the construction work outside. So my sleep wasnt the best. If youre looking for a budget hotel thats nothing special, book here. But we certainly wont be returning to this hotel.

Dear Ruth I, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the disturbances you encountered during your stay. Rest assured that your feedback is valuable to us, and we will address the issues raised with the utmost importance. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the noise from the construction and the unsettling experience at your door. Please know that this is not reflective of our usual standards of service. We appreciate your kind words about our staff and the cleanliness of the room. We regret that your overall impression was negatively impacted. Should you reconsider, we would be grateful for another opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable stay. Thank you once again for your feedback. Warm regards, Janice ibis Glasgow City Centre - Sauchiehall Street
