I booked two rooms under a family promotion via the Accor app. The reservation was confirmed with a specific total, part of which was covered using AccorAll points. However, upon arrival, the receptionist insisted on a significantly higher rate and kept my family waiting. I declined to pay the increased amount, as it contradicted my booking confirmation. Ultimately, the staff member accepted the original reservation price, but did so in an unprofessional and dismissive manner. As a returning Accor customer, I typically receive a welcome drink voucher, which was not provided during this stay. Furthermore, despite waiting for an extended period with two small children, I did not receive an apology for the delay or the dispute regarding the rate.

First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize for the situation you experienced upon arrival. I can only imagine how frustrating it must have been to discuss the room rate after a journey, especially while traveling with two small children. The price presented at reception should always match the confirmed reservation made via the Accor app, including the use of your ALL – Accor Live Limitless points. Please rest assured that this is not the standard we aim to deliver. Although the booking was ultimately honored at the correct rate, I am truly sorry if the way the situation was handled felt unprofessional or dismissive. This is certainly not the level of service we expect from our team, particularly towards returning and loyal Guests. I have personally discussed this matter with our Front Office team to ensure greater attention to communication, accuracy, and empathy during check-in. Regarding the welcome drink, it appears that a misunderstanding occurred. For about a year now, the welcome drink benefit has been available in digital form in the Accor application and is no longer issued as a printed voucher at reception. However, we fully understand that this may not always be clearly explained. For this reason, we have already reminded our Reception Management to ensure that receptionists proactively inform eligible Guests about this benefit during check-in. At Accor, we truly value the loyalty of our returning Guests, and it is very important to us that every stay begins smoothly and pleasantly. I am genuinely sorry that this was not the case during your recent visit. Thank you once again for bringing this matter to our attention. Your feedback is extremely important to us and has been shared with the relevant department heads to help prevent similar situations in the future.
