The hotel a good standard I stayed 2 nights at the hotel due to my husband being in hospital. On the 2nd night I arrived at the hotel very tired therefore I orderedroom service I ordered standard fish as wanted something light the meal was ATROCIOUS IT WAS LUKE WARM AND THE FISH WAS LIKE RUBBER NEEDLESTOSAY I HAD NO MEAL I WAS TOO TIRED TO EVEN COMPLAIN. I student from hospitality school could have cooked better than the chef who prepared it. This certainly spoiled my stay if I was the manager I would be having a word with the chef I was In room 2017 the meal was ordered on Monday evening my name Mrs R..

It was great ... until we were trying to have a dinner with friends and catch-up with good old-fashioned conversation and your wonderful Saturday night buffet. However, right next door to the dining room in the conference room (Greenlane Novotel) was a private birthday function, complete with Polynesian drums, loud dancing and singing and even a haka or two. The noise was extraordinary and not one staff member took our needs into account and ask the private function to please tone down the noise level because people were dining. The only glitch in what was a wonderful service from staff. I've been visiting the hotel for many years and the customer service was great. But please, empower the staff to tell private functions to reduce noise when appropriate to accommodate your diners. Thank you in anticipation.

Everything was fine until I couldn’t find parking in the evening and was directed by a staff member at reception to park outside with a fee. I had to walk back to Novotel in the rain. I would suggest that guests attending the party park outside, while the management reserves parking for hotel guests. Special thanks to receptionist Mackenzie for her kindness in waiving the parking fee.
