ibis Strasbourg Centre Gare 3 stars

When in France & Belgium we usually stay at Ibis Hotels as they fit our needs. Room 112 was poorly laid out - not user friendly. Seating & desk opposite side to window so poor lighting- not easy or comfortable to sit & read. Advertised "main TV channels" but this only applies if French speaking. For us not fluent, only BBC World News - repetitive & boring!. Shower fits only very small people. Door seals missing. Wash basin loose ,seems people use to get in & out of shower. No shower cap or tissues. Reception & bar areas clean & pleasant. Most staff helpful & friendly. Bit disappointed in lack of choice for bar snacks only pizzas. Would return here if allocated different room.

We came for a short visit to Strasbourg. This weekend was jam-packed, but the friendly staff found us a room for the night. The room was recently renovated and very clean. Despite the hot temperatures outside, air conditioning cooled our room down very quickly, and we had a nice rest before going to the restaurant after a 5-hour drive. The breakfast is various, from bacon to delicious and fresh viennoiseries. The Tea Bar offers a wide variety of quality tea. What a pleasant surprise! I love tea. If you drive there, parking near the hotel ( Parking Wodli) is possible for a very affordable price ( ask for a discount at the reception). Although I am more a fan of Scandinavian design, the hotel is well-kept, and the staff is helpful. Enjoy the exceptional view of the Gothic cathedral on the 7th floor.

We had a room on the top floor. The floor was bare, windows small, and ceiling was very low

We stayed one night so we could enjoy the beautiful city of Strasbourg. The AC did not get cold so we had to keep the window open. Due to facing the street there was loud shouting, cursing, and glass breaking throughout the night which made it difficult to sleep. The concierge was very kind upon on check in.

The room is spacious with door to a nice view. The breakfast is also great. However, during one night the hotel receptionist called in the middle of the night to the wrong room and waking me up and no apology was given. I informed the receptionist in the morning and again no solution for this. The cleaners do not leave the same things which were used by the client neither. for example, i used the paper cups and tnew ones were not put again. on the first day, i had got a third towel from the recpetionist and the next next after they cleaned they still put two instead of three. there was three because i used three, so they should have put three. The bathroom carpets also have black marks on them.
