I'm generally satisfied with my stay, although some improvements should be considered. The food is good but with low variety (breakfast and dinner). Also, supplies were not ready when i checked in, e.g., dental kit, slippers, bag for laundry, hand soap and the iron.

Floor was dirty when we arrived, with hairs and stains. I had been requesting room cleaning for THREE days until I got someone to finally clean my room. I even gave the room service staff big tips several times, only to come back in the evening and find out that the room is still as dirty. The reception staff were extremely rude and not helpful. Even small requests (like extra tea bags) were not attended (I was told to go out of my room and find a guy in the same floor, then ask him for the tea bags. Of course, no one was there). The key cards were not working. I had to go to the reception every now and then to request activation of my key cards. Overall, my vacation was ruined because of this hotel. I will never come back to this place. I will discourage everyone around me to stay in this place.

Last week I went to Mercure Ismailia, upon arrival I found a very friendly staff members at the front office, they finished the check in procedure within few minutes and choose a nice room thanks for Mrs. Lamees the front office manager and the staff members. The room was so clean and elegant, with a distinguished sea view and large T V screen and a comfortable bed. The restaurant was well designed having an a beautiful location and amazing terrace with pool and garden view. There is a multiple variety of food and drinks which are fresh and delicious, thanks a lot for the cooperation of the staff members especially Mr. Hassan and Mr. Ahmed.

The overall experience was good, after the renovations the rooms looks great, bed is very comfortable, front desk are very friendly.
But, the rooms smelled like cigarettes from the moment we stepped in, and with us being non-smokers and having a 4 month old kid, this wasn’t the best experience.
Also, the carpets in the corridors needs serious renovations, looked so dirty on the 2nd floor and smelled so bad, they just don’t match how beautiful the rest of the hotel is.
