Very bad and old furniture in floor 1 led to no sleep at all and check out the room at 06:00 am 8nstead of adding extra nights

I stayed in Room Number 416, the A/C is very noisy and not working probably. Bathroom is very small. No concentration on the Hygiene, the elevator is too slow and not clean. The served food has a low quality. most of the TV channels are Arabic channels. Car parking area is not clean and the security man at the gate during night shift was not friendly.

I stayed two days at room no. 421 My note is that the cleanliness is not enough, especially the carpets. And the balklona has cigarette butts on it.

Great Room With a Great View

I've been visiting this hotel since the early 80's and I've seen all the rooms renovations. This time the renovation is the best. The suit included a lot of details that are only present in business class hotels. That included an espresso machine. The view is amazing we had two balconies, one with lake view and one with canal and garden view. Both views are very nice and you could enjoy them from every point inside the suite. The reception staff were great. Greeting with a smile, everything was ready, and it took only 5 minutes. But the staff are not equally trained other reception staff were not on that level, and the same applies to some other places in the hotel. The hotel charged the whole stay amount on the first day, which is not the case for reputable 4 stars hotels. The breakfast and dinner buffets are limited in variety by the food is very tasty. Room service is poor. The food ingredients are cheap (I had a club sandwich filled with cold cuts). We had to order room service because the second day they didn't offer open buffet, which was a disappointment for us. The hotel was filled with sports teams who didn't behave nicely. All the rooms had the laundry thrown outside without laundry bags. You could easily spot underwear on the corridor. The whole experience was very nice and I'll repeat it many times, but I'll eat outside the hotel in case they didn't offer open buffet for dinner.

1. I used to be a very loyal guest to the place, with millions of personal memories and attachment. Then, after this latest stay, i decided it will be my last one over the place. 2.The hotel is hosting sports teams, which is something that used to happen all the time since years.However, management is getting used that their only guest is the team players, and act accordingly with all other guests. 3. Management is becoming low profile, not paralleling the hotel four stars rating, why? A. You see players changing their clothes along corridors, walking half naked, throwing changed clothes over the corridor grounds for the housekeeping to collect. Management said they talked to their admin team, with no response from their side, so “what should we do?!” B. Called front desk to enjoy the restaurant between breakfast n lunch, they said you may go, we’re available 24/7..yay..went down..person in charge if the restaurant told me “we’ll have water and detergents thrown all over the place coz we need to prepare for the teams to have lunch in some hours” This was his expression in Arabic, so plz check translation coz in our language, it’s a very low profile statement ‎“اصل احنا حنغرق المكان مية وديتول .. المكان كله حيتفور عشان عندنا فرق جايه تتغدى" I could not believe i heard that statement in a four star hotel!!! C. Too much noise all over the floors as team members spend their time socializing outside their rooms..They also get into the elevators dripping pool water, and management would be ok about it as “what should we do?!” D. Team captains would stand in the corridors and shout for the players to wake up for breakfast, or gather up for lunch. They think it’s their personal camping site!! E. Hotel management apologized by upgrading my room, however, guess what?! All the above continued to happen coz players are scattered all over the rooms in all floors with the same attitude! F. Management says “what should we do, they are that kind of guest!” G. Management are getting used to serving only that type of guest, losing the sense of their prestigious service we, OTHER GUEST THAN TEAM PLAYERS, used to have since the 90’s. H. I feel so sorry for the place & the poor quality management and service. Why don’t you guys change it to a camping site for sports players n save your dignity! I. Guess what guys! Tolip hotel is 5 min walking distance from the place, good competition is coming along..i don’t think you’ll be ready to challenge that!

I grew up in Ismailia and it was a very joyful experience to go back to the places i used to see when i was kid, i called the hotel to get a good rate which was kt very attractive and surprisingly i was told that someone will call me back to discuss, which happened after one- two hours and i got a call from front office manager Mrs. Lamis who was indeed a professional person that made me change my mind and agree to use mercure . great thanks to Mrs Lamis as well as all the team, it is really an international standard
