We had a great stay last weekend in The Grand, using the pool, the upgrade to a suite, the pre dinner drinks at the bar and the dinner in Bridges were all superb. Breakfast the next morning - these days all a la carte - was of an unparalleled level! We look forward to coming back soon!

The 3 day stay in one of the apartment suites of The Grand was a real bless. Spacious with beautiful canal views; perfect place to work during the day and relax in the evening. Even in the current times, with many regulations, it felt relaxed and safe in The Grand, with caring staff, cozy atmosphere and all facilities still available!

We had a great stay at the hotel. It’s in a great location making it easy to walk to the historic sites and museums and the wonderful shopping streets in Amsterdam. We had the tasting menu in the Bridges restaurant - fantastic fish, a real treat.

We have felt very well taken care of and thus could have a complete relaxed get away. The first night we had dinner at Bridges, a wonderful experience. The (temporary) Grand Beach the next day was a nice alternative for having dinner and relaxing outside. The celebration of my birthday in the morning was a feast. Despite the fact that there weren't many guests around, the staff made great effort to make our stay unforgettable.

The Front of House staff are excellent, and are clearly a credit to Zsa Zsa Zanolie, who went out of her way to ensure that our holiday went perfectly. This was so appreciated by us. Niels Essink and his Concierge Team deserve special mention. They are essential to the continuing success of the hotel, and are one of the reasons why our stay was better than stays we have enjoyed in other luxury hotels. Guests will return to hotels which have an outstanding concierge team. The welcome that we received was warm and much-appreciated, particularly from the Head Butler, Mauricio de Aguiar Silva. Breakfast service was excellent, and it was great to see Lilian and Luca again, who were so welcoming. Breakfast is a very difficult meal to serve well, but this team has got it very well organized indeed. We also really enjoyed having a drink at the bar with the very knowledgeable and expert bartender, Dennis. But to single out individuals does not give a true picture. All of the staff with whom we had contact were friendly, correct and welcoming, and are the reason that we will return to this hotel.

This was an epic stay, it started with an upgrade to a suite and the warm welcome back to The Grand. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The welcome drinks in the suite, the lunch in the restaurant and the pre dinner drinks in the bar again were of a high standard. Being able to use the pool (private) was great as well. After a superb breakfast we got a tour of the hotel and checked out looking forward to our next stay!

Despite the current situation due to Covid-19, the hotel continues to provide highest quality accommodation and services, with staff making the extra efforts to make guests feel safe and comfortable. We were thrilled with the extensive breakfast offer even without a buffet and we had a wonderful time enjoying a private appointment in the wellness area at no extra cost. Our holiday was perfect even in these unusual times. I will be back and can't wait!
