We were pleased with everything - the room was spectacular, the location great, breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was very, very helpful. We had dinner our first night at the Oriole Restaurant, and it was fabulous!

Love the young man who greeted you, took your rm # and name at bfast. A most pleasant way to start one’s day. All staff was great, treated you as tho you were special. Admit, bfast service wasn’t always the best. 1st morning I waited over 20 min for my HOT bfast which was served COLD. Very nice rm but bed needs new mattress-well worn groove on both sides of middle. Dutchman’s bar staff great sense of humor, great service. I didn’t care for the hotel’s location-didn’t want to venture out at night and, to me, it wasn’t a central location. It was convenient to Centraal Station but not to most of AMS. Our group leader who chose your hotel had no idea it was on edge of red light district. I’ve been to AMS several times, always enjoy the city.

My husband and I recently stayed the week at the The Grand Sofitel for my babymoon. I can't say enough great things from this hotel. Outside of the wonderful location and the historic beauty of the hotel, the staff was A+++. They accomodated my pregnancy requests and made us feel at home.
