Hotel in need of upgrade, leaking taps in the bathroom, room keys not working properly, overall not the best experience

Nice staff, and much better stay than last time

We like staying in parramatta, and a good deal came up for this hotel. The good: the last time we stayed, the aircon wasn’t working. The front office staff asked me to let them know when we were staying again and they would look after us. This time around, they made sure the aircon worked! Value for money wise, it was great, but I wouldn’t consider paying anywhere near rack rate. The not so great I’m an Accor Plus Gold member, and I think I’m supposed to get an upgrade when available. I don’t mind not being upgraded, but it would have been nice for the check in staff to acknowledge that they couldn’t accommodate it. The hotel needs refurbishing, I understand that takes time, but there was mould in the showers etc, and dust everywhere…

The room is clean and newly decorated, with all the facilities for short stay. Woolworth, mcdonald, KFC opposite the road. would recommend.
