Delightful service throughout was the most impressive thing. Also lovely to see the rebranding, redecorating, etc. Restaurant was also great quality menu and service. Dinner mains were often too large, though. There are little things that could have been improved - e.g. the picture hanging in our room was crocked, and we couldn't straighten it. The welcome treat was addressed to just one of us, (and one macaron) when check-in surely noted we were a couple. The shower had two body wash containers, conditioner, but no shampoo. I know these are very minor niggles, but shouldn't occur.

We enjoyed our three night stay at the Movenpick. We had an excellent room with views over the town. What stood out for us was the friendly service in the hotel bar and restaurant. Dinner was lovely (the duck confit and veggies were delicious) and advice on the local gins was on point from Dily who is an absolute credit to the hotel. The breakfast was also one of the best we experienced on our six week trip with the opportunity to purchase a speciality coffee rather than just the machine coffee available at the buffet. We also appreciated the chance to order short orders such as omelettes or pancakes as well as the bountiful buffet. The last word has to be for the popular chocolate happy hour, thank you, we will be back!
