While I have learned to be happy in a variety of places, I would give this place a 2 (were it not for John who helped me get a reservation at a popular spot last minute). I do like being able to hear the birds outside the open window of my room. This said, the espresso machine in my room which had me very excited to wake up and sip seemed to have had old milk swished through it such that black coffee literally tasted rotten. The elevators are painfully slow. The mini fridge is wonky. The hallways are difficult to navigate. Really to me this feels like an ok Air Bnb but not a hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Movenpick, the room was very spacious, neat and tidy. The restaurant was wonderful and the family loved the chocolate hour.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast (full) was superb. The room was clean and comfortable. The negative was the constant wind noise leaking in through the windows. It's about time double glazing was installed and proper seals on windows. Being woken during the night by the wind whistling through the window seals was not good. I would have thought a hotel of the star rating it is would have long since sorted this.

Friendly helpful staff and the restaurant experience was good. We never found the light switch for the headboard mounted bed lights or had the calls to reception answered. One lift appeared to be stuck on 9 during our stay and there was an extra charge on our bill that was corrected when queried.
