This is the worst Mercure I’ve ever stayed in my life and as a Platinum member I’ve stayed in many properties. Penny wise and pound foolish would describe the property the best. They don’t follow approved Accor guidelines, lie and misrepresent the promised level of service. And they can’t care less. I would not hire their front desk team for any hospitality position. They have no idea what guest experience means and are focused only on $$$. The property would be better off leaving any chain and being a standalone cash cow for guests who get accustomed to this level of service.

One of the noisiest hotel rooms I have stayed in. You could hear the people in the next room talking and did not enjoy listening to someone using their bathroom at regular intervals. While the restaurant dinner was very pleasant the choice was very limited, in fact I think we were one of the few tables that did not have the tasting menu. Lesson learnt. Breakfast had a greater choice but there was no hot option. There was food that should have been hot but there was no way for it to be kept warm, I.e. no heater or hotplate. We arrived as breakfast opened and it was cold then.

Great decor throughout the hotel. Comfortable room. Beautiful view of the bay. Minor thing. My partner commented that she thought the scent of the supplied body wash, shampoo and conditioner was a bit of a let down. She felt they could be updated to be a bit more contemporary and fresh.
