Just on the highway, very easy to access and close to the beach and CDB. It was easy to book and check-in, however the amenities inside the room could have been better. The sliding door to the shower was broken and it was impossible to open and enter. There was only one bath mat and no hand towels provided. This made the water spill all over the bathroom. TV and other amenities were good. Overall cleanliness of the room can improve. Break fast was good and well served considering the COVID situation.

Bed was comfy, breakfast fine. I had a steak for dinner, req vegetables instead of chips & salad. It came with mashed potatoe only as the vegetable & salad. Also the steak was a bit tough but I ate it all as it all still tasted good.

Old and tired complex

The place is old and in need of some work. The curtains don't fit the windows so there is always light coming in somewhere no matter how you adjust them, not great when the security light outside is turning on every 5 minutes. The management seem to have gone for low cost and minimal effort inside the room. One small bar of soap between the shower and the hand basin, no water jug, no hand towel. The restaurant food is okay but it feels like you're eating in a truck stop. Wobbly tables, no salt and pepper (except for the sachets dropped on the table with your meal), no water supplied or offered, just an empty table. Stayed here because corporate travel booked it for a business trip, will never stay for private trips unless there is some major improvement. Sorry.

The staff at the counter and in the dinning room were great. We had breakfast and dinner on two non consecutive stays at the Ibis Geraldton and all meals were great. The rooms were spacious and everything worked. The only disappointing thing was the condition of benches around the walls. In the first room we stayed in the MDF benches were chipped. In the second room we stayed in the MDF where the jug and cups are kept was blistered and raised well above the bench top.

After staying in Ibis Styles hotels in both Bali and East Perth and being more than satisfied with both we had no hesitation booking the Ibis Styles in Geraldton for a weekend away. We were very disappointed with the experience as this hotel is nowhere near up to Accor standard! The rooms were extremely shabby... the furniture was all warped with numerous cigarette burns on the bedsides, the room and the bathroom were dirty and in disrepair. The majority of the clientele were FIFO workers and It seems that the standard of the rooms were conducive to that of a Donga. On both mornings there were Diesel trucks outside our room revving up at 4.30am, presumably to go to work and whilst I understand that people have to work the revving of several engines over a period of an hour disrupted our sleep and it really did spoil our relaxing weekend. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this hotel to any Accor members!

I found the room is in need of a revamp, vibrant cooling colours, TV wall mounted for better viewing, replace bed as was uncomfortable and noisy, chairs looked tattered. Floors still had pooling water on arrival.
