Our room was In between Shift Workers that left at 05:30 am, they would reverse out with the reverse beeper going at 05:30. No thought or respect for other Motel users. This was an Upgrade Room, I had about a Foot from the bed to the wall very tight indeed. We didn’t need the single bed in the room at all. This place needs an Upgrade. Full Renovation. Why wasn’t, .. being in the middle of Summer, the shade sails up around the Pool, for some shade over the pool, with an over 45 degree day, Why ??.

Ibis Geraldton is one of those places, it's not terrible but it's never first on my list when I travel to Gero for work....which is a lot. The good parts are the staff, laundry, pool and location/parking isn't too bad. Rooms need a serious update. Tough beds, lack of power points and my room was even missing a bedside table. Oh and the room door was so tough I thought I was given the wrong key and couldn't get in at 11pm at night (late check in) and having to chase up security when all the door needed was a decent shove to get in. Which I'm sure the neighbors loved hearing. Ibis isn't bad. But it's not great.

Love the location which is close to the town but not noisy. Even you can still hear some noise from the rooms nearby who has children around. But we didn't get the room cleaning on the second day, we left the room around 10.30am and came back with surprise. Stayed here three years ago and nothing changed.

We stayed at Ibis Geraldton on 29 December 2025 and were unfortunately disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. There was a noticeable gap around the door and a significant amount of dirt and dust inside, to the point it was visibly picked up on our feet. This is well below the standard we’ve come to expect from Accor hotels. While management acknowledged the feedback and apologised, no resolution or compensation was offered for the experience. Hopefully this is addressed for future guests, but based on this stay, the overall experience did not meet expectations.
