The location is great—right by the airport and the beach, and plenty of things to do within walking distance of the hotel. The gym is excellent. I wish it opened before 7:00, but it was great to have a real gym. The rooms are nice—definitely a new hotel. Plenty of space to spread out. I like a firm mattress and hated the pillow-top mattress cover—luckily it was removable so I just stuck it in the closet. My only real gripe is the restaurant. A hotel restaurant that doesn’t open for dinner until 7 seems silly. The bar has a very limited menu, and that’s your only option until 7. There are no vegetarian entrees available that have any protein at all. I found the receptionists at breakfast to be exceptionally rude; the first morning they chased me down inside the restaurant to make sure I paid, so then when I decided to just prepay for the rest of my time, they acted like that was weird too. The rest of the staff were very friendly. I’d stay there again and just make other plans for food.

Very helpful and welcoming staff who made my short stay pleasant, especially Sébastian from the front desk. However, there were tiny bugs on the paper to order for laundry/pressing services. The insects were so small you might not notice them, but housekeeping should have a look in all those corners. I felt uncomfortable hanging my stuff up in the wardrobe after that. But besides that, it was a comfortable stay.

We lodged in Novotel as a family of 3 with a baby. Our stay was okay as the staffs were friendly. Nice environment but the wifi would just go off and wouldn't come back on for a while and this happened a few times during our stay which was not the best. We don't live in the country so wifi was a big deal for us. The light would also go off and the air condition was regulated so it would go off. At night when it goes off while we are sleeping, the heat would wake us up and we would have to go and turn the Air condition on again to keep the room cool. The points I mentioned just made it a bit frustrating.

I was staying for 5 nights and was put in a room without a telephone (it was not working despite me notifying room service). Each time I need room service I have to go to the reception, and at times the responses were not helpful. Secondly, the room had no shower gel and no room slippers. I asked and was not offered.

The staff was friendly, the food was great, but something kept biting me while I was in the bed. I know that it was in the bed because I became sick and was bed ridden for 2 days and I was continually bitten while I was in the bed. I told the front office staff that something was biting me and showed them the pus filled bites on my feet and ankles. They blew it off as mosquitoes and changed my sheets. Two days after the sheets were changed, I was being bitten again. I am praying that there were no bed bugs in my room and I am anxious that bed bugs may have hidden in my personal belongings. Needless to say, I have not incurred anymore bites since I have left Novotel.

This hotel is truly excellent in all the key areas: rooms are super clean (as it should be), well maintained, and service is above and beyond. It’s difficult to find hotels in the region that maintain European service levels, but I would go so far as saying that they even beat service levels in Novotels in France. Not everything was 100% perfect, for example there was a minor glitch in their system and digital vouchers were not in my app, but as soon as I told them they were happy and eager to rectify the issue. We didn’t dine on property, except for breakfast. The spread was good for the category of hotel. The hotel is also well located. We had 4 rooms in total, and none of my colleagues had any issues. Excellent recognition of my Accor Diamond status, truly exemplary.
