From the welcome when I arrived, to the room, food, and great service throughout - this was an excellent stay. Very much appreciated the room upgrade and the delicious chocolate dessert waiting for me, and the personalised card (as always). bar and restaurant staff were exceptional as well as the reception team. You feel like they really enjoy what they do. Felt recognised and rewarded - thank you.

The location was excellent. The personnel were very good. Good facilities and all you would expect. As usual due to difference between flight time and hotel check time, the gap was well spent, leaving the bags and roaming around. I also stayed at another Accor hotel between dates of 12 to 14th March and did leave my part luggage back. All of which was well taken care. Strongly support - Great Place !

We thoroughly enjoyed our night in Auckland at the Grand Mercure. Great location, an easy walk to the concert we went to and tasty bar food before we went. An extremely comfortable bed and a fabulous buffet breakfast.

Excellent position and room but is lacking in other aspects.

The location is ideal being close to the city, harbour and SkyBus. The room was excellent especially the bed and the shower. We arrived early on the Queen Elizabeth, as a Gold member one of the privileges is early check-in when available. At reception I was told that the room was empty but would take 2-3 hours to clean. When I asked why, I was told that rooms are cleaned according to a “list” and the order couldn’t be changed. It took some time to persuade the person at reception to prioritise the cleaning of our room. At breakfast they offer a continental breakfast however there are no bread rolls. I have never seen a continental breakfast served with sliced bread. Service for cooked items was very slow.

Everything was great. Restaurant was fantastic. My one negative comment was House Keeping knocking knocking and knocking at 8.24 am to see if we wanted our room serviced - during a one night stay - I don't think so! Sort of ruined a nice morning when we had an 11.00am check out.

A ReUnion of classmates from the 1960's. Many stayed at the hotel and we had 2 evening functions organised by the events co-ordinator. All aspects of our stay and experience with staff were friendly, courteous and professional.

Fabulous location and close to everything in the City. Spacious well ventilated rooms. Very neat and tidy. Has all the necessities that is needed when away from home. This is the 3rd time we spent a weekend in this hotel. Friendly front desk staff.

the hotel was ideally placed to access central Auckland and the staff were friendly, helpful and competent. Breakfast was great with wonderful food and an excellent location at the top of the building. I do suggest however that you allow guests to make their own tea as some people consume a lot.

The Grand Mecure in Auckland CBD is our go-to for a dash of city shiz! We love everything about staying here for the convenient location right down to the perfumed aromas at reception & the laneway cafe for a quick coffee. We easily walked to mission Bay from the Hotel, found accessible beauty and wellness spas close by & the shopping & restaurants on our doorstep all within a few minutes away. ALready planning the next getaway.

We arrived in Auckland from the Queenstown, Wanaka legs of our trip. We were seamlessly transferred from the Airport"to our Hotel by "Super Shuttle" The reception was our only hitch . We had adjoining rooms booked, caring for a 90 old in law. One room was ready the other not. It took sometime before we could access adjoining room. Then with only a one way access. This minor irritation was quickly forgotten, The warmth , friendliness and efficiency of all staff, (particularly in the Dining Room) were the service was second only to the view. Rooms were good,

Flight centre selected as close to cruise terminal as flight due to arrive after midnight from Brisbane. Contacted hotel prior to travelling regarding transport,luggage storage and things to do.Got a prompt reply and the shuttle they recommended from airport was excellent as I’d booked it online from hotel link provided it was straight on after getting luggage and cheaper than other options and direct to entrance. As our cruise wasn’t leaving till later afternoon able to leave luggage at hotel with no additional service, this gave us a chance to do some sightseeing. On arrival still got a friendly greeting from staff even though it was after 1am. Room and beds were great. Had breakfast in hotel restaurant and staff where friendly and prices reasonable. Hotel was within easy walking distance of cruise terminal and our fifteen yr old son was happy there was a McDonald’s just outside hotel. Shops were nearby and plenty of other food choices for the adults. Would definitely stay here again and if your flying in to board your cruise it saves having to worry about getting stuck in traffic.

Excellent location in downtown Auckland. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room in the rooms. The food was very good, and the staff were very friendly and professional from the valet to the front desk to the restaurant.

onandofftheroad2015 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

2nd time i have stayed in this hotel. I was upgraded to a junior suite which was great, the extra room to relax was much appreciated. I love the soft carpet in the room. Staff are welcoming and they expected me and my room was ready on arrival.The staff are very helpful when asking for directions or general information. The hotel is located close to the main shopping street of Queen St and a few minutes walk to the harbour ferries. I recommend the harbour view rooms. The Vue restaurant has fantastic harbour views. The food is delicious and varied for all tastes. Breakfast time had a few issues, one morning all the hot food was cold as someone had forgotten to turn on the food warmers. All in all an enjoyable stay and I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Auckland.

street noise keep us awake, catered for 2 when 3 were booked 2 glasses, 2 cups, request for a 3rd ignored. Breakfast, food kept running out, took between 20 & 30 minutes to get coffee each morning. Great location.

Spent 1 night in this antiquated hole. Walls allow ALL noise to be transmitted, Water pipes, people talking, banging doors etc. The nightclub music goes until after 3am. Got minimal sleep. Be warned. Do NOT stay at this place.

Travelling with family and stayed in a standard room with double queen beds. Room was spacious and clean and made for a comfortable stay. Friendly and efficient staff made check-in and check-out a breeze. Central location and walking distance to shops, restaurants and waterfront. Good selection of hot and cold items for breakfast and restaurant offered a beautiful view of the waterfront.

Hotel location ideal for us as within easy walking distance from pier where our cruise ship docked. The front desk receptionists were courteous, helpful, and gave us early access to room so we didn't have to store our luggage. We weren't used to the elevator technology using room card to access your assigned floor. Once we figured out the logic we were okay. Needless to say we are not tech savvy! Our biggest problem was not with the hotel but with cab service. Cabs park outside the hotel waiting to serve hotel guests but hotel does not control which cab companies are there. Use "City Cab" and avoid using independent cabs to avoid getting ripped off like we did. Trip to the zoo cost us $180 New Zealand because "had to avoid accident traffic." We were half way through the trip before we realized what was happening. Thankfully, paid cab fare with credit card that would negate the transaction. Return from zoo to hotel cost $30 New Zealand. Rooms clean. Small but not overly tight. We reserved room with breakfast option. Breakfast was huge variety of selections buffet style. Scrambled eggs and bacon not cooked enough for our liking but maybe New Zealand's style? Hotel was good value.
