Really Disappointing / Awful Customer Service For the price of luxury, you should not experience a nightmare. As a solo female traveller with a disability I experienced a serious time critical problem while staying at the hotel. I called the hotel's reception for help and the hotel failed to help me. Instead the staff member who I spoke with was discourteous, unsupportive and rude. I lodged a complaint over a month ago and have sent several follow up messages and have been ignored. I'm afraid to say, choose somewhere else to stay if you want to enjoy your holiday. In the 60+ countries I have visited this is the worst Novotel I have come across. Avoid.

A Degrading Experience

A most degrading experience with Novotel management. I booked and paid for two rooms online with besthoteldealsglobal.com. When we arrived to check in, they told us we had only one room because we had cancelled one of the rooms. I showed them all the evidence of my booking, including full payment for two rooms, but they insisted that it was my fault. My suggestion that they take it up with their agent, besthoteldealsglobal, fell on deaf ears, and after an hour of discussion, the only way we could get into a second room was to pay for another room. I don't like paying for three rooms when I only needed two, so I am now fighting for a refund. The disappointing thing is they knew a mistake had been made between themselves and BestHotelDealsGlobal, and an honourable solution would have been to let us into the room they knew we had paid for and sort it out with their agent. But no. It took appeals to two duty managers and the reservations manager (who was too scared to come out of his or her office) for them to display their impeccable hospitality credentials and refuse to honour our booking. What a joke.

We enjoyed a three night stay in 2 renovated rooms close to the lobby and pool area. Dining in the lobby and pool area was delightful with a pop-up seafood stall available in the evenings 🦐 We found the staff there very friendly and helpful the ordering system for food works really well . The lobby area is fantastic… a great hub with a lovely ambience. We also enjoyed some really lovely morning coffees and brunch items from the cafe, staff in there were great too. Would definitely return again.

ebzac Couples - TripAdvisor review

Although the rooms were nothing special, they were clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and accommodating, which made the experience pleasurable. Having said this, you are relatively trapped within the area without your own vehicle. There is no shuttle to any of the nearby town centres and the nearest public transport is a 1.5 kim walk away. Uber is how we got around. The lagoon and pool areas are very pleasant and there are plenty of walks or onsite activities if staying in is your choice. 4 days was enough and with a vehicle would make a great base to visit many of the attractions in the Sunshine Coast area. We would stay here again.

Great facilities, dated hotel rooms

We stayed in late April, the resort is very family friendly and we felt right at home with many other families with young children. Great activities for the kids including games and fish feeding which the kids loved. The food and bar were also very nice. The hotel room itself is very dated and needs a refurbishment
