Thanks for the service from Raju! The breakfast is delicious and serve a great variety, also the vegetarian sausage is good for vegetarians. Stayed here for 3 days, room is full equipped, everything is prepared. All in all, it is a great experience

Horrible Hotel

The only thing going for this hotel is location, there is no aircon anywhere in this building. The lobby is so hot I nearly passed out waiting for the extremely slow receptionist to check me in. The rooms are dated and not worth the prices charged. Bathroom is so small an average size human fits in but if you’re slightly bigger don’t even bother. If you are unfortunate enough to have a 1st floor room the smell is disgusting due to all restaurants being below and it smells like musty fried oil. There was a small fan in the room which blew around a tiny bit of warm air. I will never return.

Always a lovely stay at the Ibis New Street. Welcoming staff, clean and a fabulous breakfast.. with Raju on hand keeping everything topped up and all your breakfast needs met. He is an asset to the team. It can get a little warm in the summer months as there is no AC in the rooms but a table top fan is provided which is of some benefit.

An OK-ish stay

This is my 1st time at Birmingham. I drove from Liverpool with the expectation to easily locate the hotel. I am sorry to say but it was not easy! The satnav kept taking me round in circles and I spent over 30minutes trying to find this place! I know city centres are always busy but thr layout of the roads at Birmingham is something else. Lots of one way roads, no right or left turns etc. I was frustrated and irritated driving round and round in circles. I eneded up parking at the arcadian carpark, walked to the hotel then later moved my car. The room at the hotel was not fancy at all. It is small and hardly any space to move around. I asked for a double bed room but the beds were 2 singles joined together with single toppers on each bed. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen, no leg room with a even smaller shower cubicle. The weather was hot and the room was humid. I requested a fan and was given one. The staff were nice too. Only 1 of the 2 lifts work so I had to wait a while before I could ise the loft. I couldn't use the lift in the car park to access the hotel cos there was a technical issue. i didn't feel.that I got value for money but it was somewhere to lay my head after a stressful day!
