any time we have been to Rome we have always stayed at the Sofitel. The hotel is amazing, the location us very uphill, but if you don't mind the walk it is super quiet. The rooms are average size, the bathrooms are great, awesome shower. The best breakfast in any hotel i have ever stayed in ! The one downside, I had made reservations at the restaurant to eat outside as it was our anniversary, we had a nice table outside but could only choose a tastings menu, not what we had wanted at all. We asked if we could just order off the regular menu and they refused. They said we would have to sit inside if we wants to do that. What!!! I was not impressed at all, I did file a complaint with the hotel when we checked out. I will also say the dished we had ordered were not good at all. In fact I can cook better than that, our airplane food was better. That was the only thing that spoiled the experience for us. There are two restaurants down the street from the hotel, honestly go there instead.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in September and had an amazing time. Our suite was beautiful, incredibly clean and sumptuous and the staff second to none. We highly recommend eating in the Settimo roof restaurant where you can enjoy spectacular views across Rome.
