The hotel is in the middle of a square so car parking is at the back of the hotel in a totally unmarked or unsignposted elevator that you drive into and takes your car up one floor to parking. Parking is a pricy €25. Breakfast is another €25 per person. Rooms are tiny and dreary interior. Even the restaurant staff was rude. Disappointing.

Very well located hotel in the centre of Cologne. 4 stars are deserved. Parking is a bit unlucky, as hotel seems to have its own lot, but we did not find out before checkin. Friendly service, good breakfast, except for salmon. We just did not like it

Good hotel but information about services needs to improve

Location excellent, room fine, very quiet, clean and comfortable. Restaurant good with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast (on the day we had it) was excellent with plenty of choice. However we found our check-in/front desk experiences generally disappointing - the receptionists were rather economical with information, and apart from a sign saying that breakfast was available from 6.30am there was no written information either in reception or in our room about the hotel's services. As a result we arrived for breakfast too late at 10.50am on our last day, having been told the previous day that it went up to 12 noon. Thankfully a kind member of staff seeing our disappointment took pity on us and procured something for s to eat, otherwise we would have had to set off on our journey back to the UK on an empty stomach. Surely one laminated sheet in each room with basic details of restaurant, breakfast & checkout times etc would not spoil the minimalist look that clearly the hotel prides itself on?

Great location

The Location is great close to Dom, city center and shopping area. Rooms are not that big, certainly not for multi day stay with two. But for one night they are just fine. Bedcomfort is good, shower and bathroom are ok. Not much amenities though. Breakfast offers enough choices and good taste. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Certainly worth a visit.

Good hotel; but should probably be a Mercure not an MGallery

Pros: - Easy location to train station, just 5 min walk so that was ideal and perfect - Nice restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating perfect for evening or day time snack/drink. I didn't have breakfast so no idea how that was. - Pricing is pretty fair so its good value - Very nice welcome amenity for Accor Platinums; 2x bottles of water, bottle of orange juice, some chocolates and fruits. They also said I was eligible for 3x drinks per day and a snack but the welcome drink voucher said 1x drink so it was a bit strange - they should probably explain this better as I still didn't understand how this 3x drink thing worked... - Internet was fast and easy to use; felt faster than most other hotels in Germany i've recently stayed at but I didn't do a speed test - Evening staff was really friendly; brought me up iron + ironing board immediately when I asked Improvement Areas: - Not the most generous with upgrades for Platinum members; I was upgraded from a Standard room to a 'quiet room' which doesn't seem to exist on their website so that made me feel a little annoyed. At check in there was no mention of my Platinum status till I brought it up and i was told they were completely full so no upgrades were possible. The irony is I booked the hotel 15 min before arriving and every room type was available for sale so that was pretty unprofessional/strange... - A/C, like most of Germany, wasn't working that well and it was e.g. worse than the Marriott Cologne. They have really thick bed sheets so that + pretty weak A/C was a really silly combination and they should fix that as I found myself actually sweating a bit when I had the sheet over me. - Rooms are pretty small and the layout really does feel more like a Mercure or even an Ibis (furniture is more premium than the latter though)
