It was disappointing that a less expensive and smaller breakfast was not available in the morning. For the price of the room brewed coffee and a continental breakfast was not available. The room was beautiful and reasonably comfortable but space for baggage for 2 people was uncomfortable. The staff were very nice at the front desk rooms clean and modern. I received numerous emails regrading an upgrade in the room. The people at the desk did not honor the upgrades that were possible nor were they were aware of the options presented in the emails.

I have used the Mondial since 2001 and it is generally excellent but the staff are better than any hotel in Cologne.
