We spent a 4 night stay over the New Year This hotel is in a very good location in the centre within easy access to all tourist attractions bars and restaurants- most within walking distance, however, the central railway station is close to the hotel should you wish to travel further afield Everything was excellent from the friendly welcome, spotlessly clean, well equipped room, extremely comfortable bed with warm cosy duvets and excellent plentiful breakfast offering a wide variety of options to suit every taste We had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was also very good Would not hesitate to return

We stayed just one night before getting on a Christmas Markets river cruise. The location was great and so close to the markets. The staff was very welcoming and breakfast was delicious. Will recommend!

I was rather concerned when looking at some pictures of guest rooms that look like the shower room is separated from the beds with a glass window, as I have a travel mate sharing the room. I reached out to the hotel earlier and asked if they could put me in a room without the opening, and was told there would be a curtain set up when I arrived. Indeed they had set up a curtain, so very appreciative of them listening to some feedback and concerns from other guest also. (Note that the curtain is setup outside the room, so you do need to have a certain level of trust w/ your room mate.) The room was of a decent size, well equipped with usb plugs, comfortable beds with a good sized bathroom. The hotel is located not right in the midst of things, thus there's certain quietness which is nice for a good rest. Everything is very close by still, so definitely not an issue. What I really love is the view as the room was facing the river, so we have a lovely sunset view looking across. The only thing to nitpick on is that the hotel building is rectangular perimeter with the center hollowed, and elevators are only located on one of the edges, so if your room happens to be facing the river, you do have to walk almost 1.5 street-block to get from elevator to the room. If you have heavy luggage, it could be quite a walk. Otherwise, definitely no doubt if I ever revisit Koln, I will stay here again.
