This hotel is very modern and situated in really easy walking distance to the trams and the Stadtpark U Station. The pros. The hotel staff are really kind and nice, they were quick to answer any query and always happy to help, thankfully because my German is limited they have flawless English and put me to shame. I had to ask for some help from housekeeping at one point and the issue was resolved within 15 minutes. That’s some speedy service and all done with a smile and a happy attitude so thank you for fixing the kettle issue! The hotel is also blessed with a good AC system which this summer in Vienna has been needed! Room service is speedy and after a mad day of travel all I wanted was a good burger and a Coke. I can say that this burger was probably the best I’ve had outside of the USA and that it was tempting to get another during my stay, but I resisted the temptation. There are some bad points that knock off a star or two for me. They aren’t to do with the management more the design of the hotel. GOSH it is dark. The hallways are dark the fittings are dark. The panels are dark. It feels like it’s being artistic and on trend but it feels like it is dating quickly and can feel a little oppressive at times. It is anything but light and airy in the way that it is designed and after a day looking at gothic architecture and the fall of an empire in the museums it’s got a very dark feel. Also, it can get very noisy early in the morning if you are in the side of the hotel where deliveries and rubbish collection happen. That’s okay for me because I’m an early riser but just be aware it’s not the most tranquil of places. Simply because of the level of work that is going outside and people coming and going from the car park. It is a four star hotel on most sites and that’s probably on balance fair. It scrapes in for me - it could have a very new make over that would take it up to the top of the league and invest in ore tech in the room so that there is greater connectivity for devices and also just a big rethink of the black paintwork and black fittings all over the place. As I said the staff and management are top notch and they made the stay private and a very relaxed pleasure.

Worst experience with MGallery

Worst front desk service ever seen in my journey with the Accor group as a DIAMOND Member . The staff were extremely unfriendly and cruel, super rude with a bad attitude with the customers. They charged me just an extra 20€ for my daughter in my room as I have booked a suite and during my whole journey as a I have never had a front desk with the accor group barging me for JUST €20. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and should not be tolerated by guests at all. I felt hugely disrespected and dishonored because as a DIAMOND member this is probably the worst experience with the front desk I have had in almost 10 years of being with them .

Great hotel close to the city center

We got a lovely deluxe room, bathroom was great, bed very confortable and the pilows fine. The room was very quite and we could sleep very well. I came because of a friend that knew the hotel and I also would recomend it to my friends and family. Breakfast was wonderful and the variety of food make it very good. Cofee was perfect.

Room was lovely and clean and bed was super comfy and staff very helpful with trying to help us with public transport, the bar and grill staff also lovely and nothing too much trouble. The hotel was quiet but not far from the shops and public transport

3 star hotel rather than a 4+ star hotel

Nice hotel but definetely not a 4,5 star hotel. I stayed for 10 nights and experienced some problems, one would get, in a 3 star hotel. They are definetely not problem solvers when the issue is presented. The only solution is changing rooms for another with other problems and so on.( the mains problems I experienced were the shower facility with no water during specific hours, noise proof wich is non existent even if on 4th floor, hygene issues) . Other than that it was very close to the city center and the cocktails were nice. Couldn't enjoy their Michelin restaurant as it was closed for holidays. ( nerver experienced a closed hotel restaurant in a 4+ star hotel) There was the possibility to eat in the bar area which was also the lounge entrance area ,so people waiting for their taxi, people beeing There for a drink and people wanting to have dinner would have to mingle over the 10 to 12 small tables in that area. As I said, nice, but definetely not a 4+ star service.
