Novotel was absolutely the perfect choice for my birthday stay! Great location, and large comfortable rooms. The beds were super comfy and I slept so well. Buffet breakfast was amazing also. The staff were also super welcoming and friendly. Check in and check out was fast and quick and all the staff were so efficient.

For the most part the reception and concierge staff were very short, didn't smile, felt like I was interrupting their day. I was emailed about the opportunity to upgrade my room and was advised this would be discussed on arrival. It wasn't and when I asked, it was almost scoffed at and a nuisance to try and look into (and wasn't available) but that was all that needed to by kindly said. The block out screen is almost impossible to get up and down and took 3 of us rotating to get it partially up and down. I had a very poor experience at the Novotel in Melbouren as well, so will no longer be staying at this chain on my business trips.
