My 1st stay at Novotel on Darling Harbour. Although I didn't get an early check-in due to full occupancy despite being a platinum member but I got my room at noon. Hotel gave me a double upgrade to Darling Harbour view which is well appreciated as we enjoyed a great fireworks night too! It was a perfect view from room. Room size was good but room a little old or dated. Power sockets not enough or not so accessible. Love Novotel's Nature Spa amenities that gave an extra touch. Hotel cafe food was very good too.

The hotel is very nice and the staff is extremely helpful. Had dinner at the restaurant the Tierney. Our server was Jan and she did a fantastic job. As well as Silvia. Never let down when eating here. The chef and the food are wonderful. Always be sure to make a reservation as they are very busy. We had a table for five and each and everyone of us was pleased with what we ordered. Scotch steak, balmy bugs, and salmon all delightful.

Very happy with the service, location, cleanliness and room. However we noticed a strong smell of cigarettes smoke throughout the reception/bar in the afternoon/evening. Not ideal when the kids are walking through.

Good things about the hotel is the view of the darling Harbour and helpful conceirge. Arrived early and the room is ready but not allowed early check in n have to pay extra $75. We are staying for 4 nights with children. 2) the room doesn’t provided slipper, tooth brush until I rang the housekeeping if the hotel is providing it. Everyday I have to ring housekeeping to refill maybe shampoo, next day hand soap then body lotion. I would suggest the housekeeping Please check everyday it doesn’t matter we stay one day or 4 days. In general housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient. The room looks clean everyday. 3) location is good if for 1day and the activities at the darling Harbour only. If u want to do shopping n other sightseeing then not good idea; too much walking.
