Pros: Clean hotel Well-appointed room Excellent location near ICC (Sydney International Convention Center) Great breakfast buffer. Cons: The. Damn. Music. In. The. Dining. Area. It's the worst kind of 80s music -- the unoriginal, sappy stuff. The volume is too high so that if you're on a zoom, people can hear the damn music. Minus one star for that. How bad is it? You know that song people play as a joke -- Never Going to Give You Up by Rick Astley? They actually play that here. Dear Novotel: if you want to create a vibe, have more modern music, no vocals, lower volume. Pro tip: Led Zepellin works great to detox from lousy 80s pop. -- What else? There was a USB port that didn't work. That was a surprise to have a phone not charged. Definitely check that your phone is charging. The WiFi is really slow, too. The coffee machine overflows if you get an Americano. So, put a plate under it. But what's weird is that when I politely pointed this out to the staff, they responded passively, "yeah, it does that." Not, "hey thanks, maybe we should get bigger cups." For all that, minus another star. Even with these hassles, I'd stay here again unless I found something better.

Stayed during school holidays as a treat, everyday there was something special on for the kids. Room was comfortable and the Buffet breakfast excellent as usual. Great hotel to visit with kids.

I booked 2 rooms. Requested single beds in 1 room. Didnt get it. I’ve been charged TWICE for parking! I was given a 2 day all access pass. I still had to pay when leaving PLUS was charged! 2 nights and 2 rooms and still only 2 drink vouchers??!! Little coffee shop in foyer! Awful customer service! Bloke was an absolute rude knob!

It's disappointing to hear that your request for single beds in one room was not fulfilled. However, during our peak periods, we recommend that guests book the rooms with the bedding configuration they wish to receive as the opportunity for movement is low especially during school holidays. Regarding the parking charges, I am sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. It appears there was a misunderstanding with the access pass, and I will ensure our team investigates this matter and rectifies any overcharges promptly. As for the drink vouchers, the number of vouchers that a member receives is one per adult in the member's room only. The drink vouchers are automatically generated through a centralized system and unfortunately cannot be increased in number by the hotel. I asked that they make it something special for my daughter, as ut was her 16th birthday present. And we could only afford 1 night.. but there wasn't even a mention, no note.. nothing. So it was a little disappointing. One time we stayed at a place for our anniversary and they made a fuss.. so I think i was hoping they may do something like that

First time staying here and it ticked all the boxes. Was greeted by Andrew at check in. He was very informative and welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was catered for. The room was clean and spacious. Nice view overlooking the city. Breakfast in the morning had everything. Location is perfect to explore Sydney on foot. Overall it exceeded my expectations and I'd come back again.
