The location was 10 points. Service in the front desk was 10 points too. I stayed in the 16th floor and throughout the night I could hear noises, provably from the A.. That is the main reason i am not given a 10. Also, i found it weird to have to ring the bell every time I wanted to enter the hotel. Security is important but, is there a more friendly way to keep the hotel safe? I think I should be able to open the main hotel door with the key instead of ringing the bell.

We appreciate that you shared this important feedback with us. Indeed we keep the door closed due to the Dutch Corona regulation. We are not allowed to give entrance to anyone else than only our sleeping guests. The experience learned that we still have a lot of curious guest who think out hotel is open for everyone, so we must close the doors at any time to avoid that we have unexpected an non sleeping guest walking through the hotel. We agree that this feels unwelcome, but we must follow the Dutch Government rules. Hopefully this will change in the near future and we can open our doors again like we used to be. We love to spend our time in Novotel as they are a very family friendly hotel. The only thing with the location at Brainpark is that the interior is slightly outdated and we assumed there was a coffee machine in all rooms but unfortunately not at this branche.

The entry door was not open automatically, after pressing the bell, it took really some time before anyone answered. Didn't felt welcomed in the hotel. Couple of times, no one at the reception either.

Dear Ms. Y., Thank you staying one more time in Novotel Brianpark. I am sorry that this time your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. As result of the current situation we have less staff working at the hotel. Because the low occupancy and the small amount of staff members available we have the front door closed for safety reasons. Nevertheless, we understand that this is not a reason to let you wait in front of the door. Please excuse us for that. The reception team is currently combining reception shifts with reservation tasks which might be the reason that instead being in the front office they are at the back office. I have informed them about your remarks and informed them that should be more in the front office. Hopefully, this situation changes soon so that the front door can be opened and we can just stay at the reception. Regarding the cold room, we have set the temperature of the hotel higher and we will try to put the ventilation of your room a bit warmer before your next arrival. In case of need, we always have extra heaters at the reception desk. Thank you for sharing your concerns. Happy holidays, we hope to have the chance to welcome you back in the new year. I slept here after a nightshift. Checkin at 04:00 hours was no problem. Checkout was normally at 12:00 hours, impossible due to nightshift. Checkout was postponed to 16:00 hours without discussion. No problem at all. Around 14:00 hours I asked for breakfast and I got a nice breakfast served free of charge!

I have stayed at the Novotel Brain Park, Rotterdam, many times over the last year due to work. I've always found the staff to be helpful and attentive - given the difficult current situation, the time I've spent at the hotel has been as comfortable as reasonable to expect. If there was any thing negative to say, it would be that the facilities / rooms could do with updating - there was drainage issues in the bathroom, the air-con failed several times - the gym facilities are below average - and the room glazing is completely ineffective at blocking out the road noise if you get a room on the back of the hotel.

I found in the morning insect in my bath, not very pleasent surprise. Unpleasent lady at breakfast stuff, still don t understand why for number 1106 it is impossible to understand if client says "eleven oh six" and it is insisted to repeat after her "eleven zero six". Grammatical lessons in the morning not so much appreciated :). I could hear truffic noise in the room. Location wise perfect for me.
