- got a room at 3rd floor (after 16:00). arriving at the room, room service was not yet made. got another room then. - restaurant area made a strange impression. There were protrusions due to missing floorboards and improvised carpet (tripping hazards) - breakfast was not appropriate to price - minimal choice. furthermore for the eggs we had to ask (individually!) for a small spoon. IT did not come to their mind that after the first person asked to pus the spoons there and correct the issue

Well equipped, very functional and comfortable rooms. We loved the fact we could book 2 connecting rooms accommodating 2 parents + 2 kids, which was extremely convenient (we made the booking by phone to ask for connecting room and the staff was really helpful). Would give it a 10 out of 10 if there was a bit more choice at breakfast but apart from that everything was perfect! Fantastic for that price. Also super easy access by car, convenient parking lot, and the area wasn't noisy even if located downtown. Will definitely come back.

The hotel looks terrible from the outside, no effort whatsoever has been made to make the hotel look attractive, I really thought I was checking into a 1-star hotel. Inside the hotel is much better, the rooms were excellent and it was a quiet. comfortable sleep. The restaurant/bar area is pleasant and the staff were helpful. My only complaint is the parking fee, I understand when a fee is charged for parking in an underground garage with maintenance costs, but not for parking in an open car park in an area well outside the city.

I was disappointed that the reception staff couldn't speak any languages apart from French. The only lady who was friendly and could speak English had the morning shift. Also the price was confusing, when I checked in I mentioned that I would probably need 2 nights and was given a price, but only paid for one night. The next morning when I knew I would be staying a further night and wanted to settle the bill, I was informed that I would have to change rooms and the price had changed due to being fully booked. I am a member of Accor and wasn't given a discount. The room was clean.

We stayed one night at Ibis Sion because we were participating at an inter-cantonal (Zurich, Geneva, Valais) croquet tournament over 2 days. We marked that we were coming by car on our reservation form. It was not very fair play for Ibis NOT to mention with our confirmation that parking would be an extra 8 Francs. We only discovered this once We received our invoice.

This time, checked into my room with a double bed, I asked specifically 2 twin beds, reception changed me, the room was clean bit the twin beds was not comfortable, slept badly, these bed are for kids not adults.

We booked the 'Renovated Room with Breakfast', and payed it advance (i would recommend to never pay in advance in this hotel again!) . We stayed from Saturday till Monday. Check-in was a little bit complicated because the employees only spoke French, no English or German. But i won't complain about this, because it's the French speaking part of Switzerland. The room was very nice, bed was of good quality. Not sure if the bathroom had renovation done at all, looked pretty old. The shower, was a watersaving shower which is used by a lot of hotels nowadays. This one felt more like a foggingmachine then a shower though. We had dinner at the restaurant on Saturday evening, we where pleasantly surprised about the food quality. It was very tasty, fresh and delicious (we had the porc loin & steak). Next morning we where very surprised that the breakfast wasn't set up already at 7 o'clock, though we and other guests asked for breakfast at 7. Not even a single employee was in or around the hotel, the hotel telephone number which was communicated to us guests was the lobby number. We waited till 8 o'clock, still no sight on an employee so we left and got ourselves some breakfast at a nearby gasstation. In the afternoon when we returned to the hotel, there finally was an employee. I asked her for what happened and she raised her shoulders that she didn't knew what happened and apologized. I asked her if we could get a refund, she agreed on it and that we could settle it during check-out on monday. We didn't make a big deal out of it, things like these can happen. To bad it happened on a Sunday morning where other options like a supermarket are closed. Monday morning, we finally had our first breakfast, which was decent. After the breakfast we wanted to check out and get the refund. Here comes the problem, the hotel employee on the Monday-shift didn't knew about what happened on Sunday, and his colleagues didn't noticed him about the situation or our refund. At first he didn't want to believe us, what we're talking about couldn't even be possible etcetc. Luckily for us, there where still some other guests who confirmed our story. But still he couldn't give us a refund, because we booked the room with breakfast as a 'package'. I understand the fact that we booked it as a package, but we payed for a service that you as a hotel didn't provide! In the end he payed us back 12chf for the parking we payed. Not a satisfying solution, and not a pleasant experience as paying customer at all! I'm sorry to say that we will never come back to stay with you ever again since the hotel itself was very pleasant. You have a lot of problems going on, from communicating with your own personnel, to customerservice.

Hello, Before arriving at the hotel, we specifically ask for some extra services, like for ex: a park place for our car, and nothing was followed. At arrival we had to ask for a place and for the extra items we asked for before. The reception was not available enough and always occupied; so difficult to ask a quick question. We took a the breakfast plan and when arriving for breakfast the staff asked us if we had reserved the breakfast as for the new rules of COVID - which nobody told us to do beforehand, but fortunately we were still able to have it as we did pay for it, but we were not specially happy to receive a tray and to not have a breakfast buffet choice. We specially booked this hotel, because of the breakfast reviews, so we were a little disappointed. The room was very clean and the bathroom as well. My husband who is a tall man was a little frustrated with the towels that were quite little and not very absorbent - very thin layer. And ideally an electric plug on each side of the bed to charge our phones would be great. We wanted to have a little apero at the bistro downstairs and asked what did they have as little snacks, at our surprise, the staff replied nothing because of COVID. So yes, we understand completely the situation, but we dont see how having a little bit of cheese, charcuterie and gurgkins would put us at risk. So sadly, we just took a coffee in our room, as we didn’t want a glass of wine, without any snacks, as good Swiss citizens. The part which annoyed me the most is that at arrival the reception took 400 of my credit card as security deposit, and told me they could not give me a copy of the deposit and when checking out the reception told me that the bill was already paid and they took off my card the 2fr that was missing. I felt very surprised that they could charge my card without a pin code or confirmation on my side. I would have liked to review the bill before making the final payment. The pre-booking I understand, as I consented this on Internet but the final bill with the extra parking, coffees, etc... I would have liked to confirm. Over-all we were satisfied, but a little disappointed that the COVID excuse was used at most times for excuse (cleaning rooms, snacks, breakfast etc...). The price for all the services that was at that point minimised should be revised and the breakfast new method should be announced and the price revised. The hotel is not far from the motorway exit in a residential area. to the old city you need a car. I have not checked the public transportation and can not comment. Some of the rooms were under renovation, but the works did not harm, as we arrived on a Saturday and did leave very early Sunday morning. Our room has gone already through renovation. The room was small, bathroom as well, but you have to be aware that you are not staying in a 5 ***** hotel. All was functional and fine. I Defintely would go back if staying again in the area

To my surpise, the parking will be charged now extra. In the past 10 years of staying there, it was free of charge. The Menu card has again been reduced. But the meal I had was freshly prepared, hot and tasty. The hotel has now a few years on its shoulder. Sooner or later it needs a fresh-up. Not only the new room door keymsystems, which did not work that evening.

The Hotel part is a very good standard and everything runs smooth and very well organized. The restaurant is a different story. For the breakfast it's overpriced and not very clean. The hotelstaff is very friendly and always willing to help.
