The main reason why I am dissatisfied is that when I arrived at reception I was told to use the escalator to go to my room rather than the lift I could have used. My being a left-arm amputee with a lot of luggage I over balanced on the escalator which resulted in my falling backwards and breaking my collar-bone. To compound that, after visiting the hospital to ascertain my injuries, I was told I would need to vacate my room and go to the Citizen M hotel Schiphol as an alternative. I wasn't happy with the way the manager dealt with this but I must say that the other members of staff were very helpful. I thought the manager was extremely insensitive regarding the need for me to move especially when I was in so much pain. I moved to the CitizenM hotel Schipol for the rest of my stay in Amsterdam where I was treated very well. I will be using that hotel when I travel to Amsterdam rather than the Ibis hotel. For future reference I would suggest that your reception staff recommended the use of the lift rather than the escalator for any disabled guests with luggage. The suggestion caused me to have a generally very painful and unsuccessful visit to Amsterdam.

Fast check in/out. Free shuttle to/from Schiphol with reliable schedule, almost full everytime! Be ready few minutes before bus departure. Clean room.
