I have been an Accor member for several years and have stayed at this hotel previously as it is perfectly situated for a stopover en route to the south. However this stay was very unsatisfactory. Just two simple examples of the indifferent service we received; - the dinner menu is very limited anyway but they had no steak! How can a restaurant run out of such a basic food? The food we did get was overcooked and dry and we left much of it. - I ordered a gin and tonic, it was brought to our table with no lemon and no ice. I asked the waiter for some and was told they didn't have any! A bar with no ice or lemon? There were no apologies offered, nothing but a shrug. Very poor service.

Unfortunately the hotel is being renovated so the reception was in the bar. It was a bit chaotic although the staff worked hard to compensate for reduced services. A member of staff was checking people in and trying to serve drinks as well.

Although restaurant was undergoing refurbishing we enjoyed an excellent buffet dinner for the price. Friendly service. Staff very helpful. Room does need some refurbishing also, but comfortable bed. All in all OK for an overnight stopover.

I think this is an old Formula 1 hotel. Building site, noisey, awful soundproofing. Overpriced.

We stay in Accor/Ibis hotels a lot. We picked the 'RED' Ibis,, because it should be better than the green 'budget' hotel. This one was awful. I think Ibis have got this hotel completley wrong. At best, it could be a budget 'Blue' Ibis. Truthfully, they'd be better off demolising the entire building and starting again. Very dissapointing. I normaly give very positive reviews, but this was the worst night I've spent in a hotel for ages. The food looked like it's been sitting for a long time, the salad bar was ok. Staff were freindly and helpful. The building was awful.

I had stayed in Saran some years ago. Returning there, I felt welcome like an old friend by several staff. The hotel restaurant is particularly to be recomended.

Half the restaurant was closed off as work was being carried out. This was not mentioned on your website. A starter and a main course were served in the evening. The food was edible but tasteless and we considered it expensive. The food has never been that good in this hotel which is a mystery to us as in France you can eat tasty, reasonably priced food in every village, but not in the Ibis Orleans Nord Saran it would appear. The restaurant was cold, there was one small heater which was turned off when we arrived. Our room was cold and turning the thermostat up made no difference.

As already stated-comfortable stay but the menu in restaurant limited. No steaks on offer or a plat du jour. No other restaurants nearby without a car journey. We stayed several times in past but menu is reduced in favour of burgers.

Comfy bed and good dinner

We enjoyed our stop-over on the way to the Dordogne. The room was good if a little warm, the bed comfy and the shower large. Dinner was very good and better than we have had in other similar hotels when we have simply stayed over en route.
