Great place place to stay with family. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is a must add… they have an entire buffet and you can ask to order your own omelette style, eggs,waffles and more. Pool environment was safe with lifeguard, towels and amazing views. Adults can enjoy full bar while kids have fun at pool. Close to most attractions. There are grocery stores , pharmacies , shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is close to Copacabana/Leme beach, 100 feet away. Depending on the table you choose for breakfast you can enjoy a sea view. We had ocean view from our room too. I would definitely recommend it.

Simple, comfortable, and close to everything you would want to do in Rio. One street away from the famous Copacabana and it has a rooftop pool area to finish your days resting after tons of tourism. Great food here and nearby, plus excellent shopping. Above all the breakfast and service is second to none. Family friendly as most other places in Brasil. Highly recommended!

Had some drinks and food on the rooftop, excellent and the staff are 10/10. Would make it my go to place for a beer in Rio, amazing view over the beach and a lovely breeze so not to hot if your heat sensitive. Priced very very reasonable also! Top marks all round .

Hotel is ok, although a few things could improve: 1. front desk staff is not very proactive: when I asked about the restaurant on 2nd floor (if they had a buffet on that night or not), they called the restaurant once, didn't get an answer, and basically told me to go there and ask myself. I do not have a problem to go and ask, but this is basic info that the front desk should have; 2. price is hefty for this kind of hotel: even though reasonably located, the room is not upscale, and there is not even free bottles of water available in the room. Hotels of similar level abroad (US, Europe) offer complimentary water for a lower room rate; 3. there was a bad smell in the corridor of 18th floor, apparently coming from the kitchen. The exhaust system may be faulty, and looking into that would be helpful;

Arrived on 9 Dec at 0200 to check-in (Hotel was aware of this check-in time & room was booked from 8 Dec.) We were tired after a long couple of days of travel. We had to be picked up for an 8 hours tour at 0730. The pickup location was another hotel. We asked the man doing the check-in where it was...he wasn't sure. It turned out to be a block away from the Novotel! There was no greeting by reception staff, we were just asked for our Passports. There was no urgency in the check-in process. We were asked to write down our email address & phone number even though the hotel already had these details...just wasting time. We asked if the room was "twin" he said "yes"...it wasn't! After check-in there was no suggestion or attempt to assist with luggage. When we left later that morning for breakfast & our tour (0615) we put up the "please make up room" sign. Needless to say, on our return at 1830, the room was not mad up! We mentioned this to a House keeping staff but she didn't seem to understand us, so we went down to reception who were busy with check-ins but we waited in line and took our turn. On informing the reception out our situation and even checking out proof of the 8 hour tour. She apologised and gave us new towel. I then proceeded to advise her that I expect some reimbursement. She started to say that she can't, but I stopped her and advised her that we basically did not get what we paid for...Twin serviced room. She said the manage will contact me via email. No contact yet!
