Our 2nd stay but first time staying on the Gold Floor. The evening cocktails at the Lounge was impressive even though it was a bit crowded. But the morning buffet breakfast was very disappointing. You have to ask for everything i.e. table settings, water, extra menus like omelette were not offered unless we asked. Serving coffee without cream and Sugar . Ordered mangoes but was not serve but saw other tables got their orders served. We’re a group of 7 adults and 2 kids and the other party opted to eat at Spectrum which is way better than the Gold Lounge.

We stayed at Fairmont Makati for our brief visit to Manila. We chose this hotel because of it’s location. There are heaps of dining and shopping options in the area. It was easy to get to and from the airport. We were initially given a room facing a busy road. My husband told the front desk staff that we were jetlagged and couldn’t sleep because of the noise from the street. She immediately organised us to transfer to a better room. We really appreciate that. The room was clean and spacious. We had enough space for our luggage and other stuff. There wasn’t any iron/ironing board though. And the sink tap had a leak. We had to turn the tap to a certain angle so that the water will not drip. These are an easy fix, not a big deal. All the staff - from the concierge, front desk, security, dining/bar, etc. are friendly and polite. They always smiled and said hello. I’m impressed by the wait staff who took my coffee and eggs order. They remembered my preference from the days prior. The concierge staff sets an example of great customer service. He always helped me with my requests and queries, e.g. my parcel delivery, how to use the local ride sharing app, etc. Also, thanks to the staff at the rooftop bar who stayed back a little longer to make sure we didn’t feel rushed to finish our cocktails. The passionfruit spritz which they recommended was really good, chef’s kiss! Thank you for making our short trip a pleasant one. We will definitely stay in Fairmont Makati the next time we visit Manila again.

Among all accor hotels I’ve been to in the country, Fairmont is a personal favorite because of how all the employees respect their guests, whether they are expats or not. I feel comfortable even if I am a very simple person who wouldn’t dress up nicely at a hotel. I hope all hotel staff are like this. However, this is the only time I didn’t receive any complimentary gifts upon check in.

During my 11 day stay at Fairmont Makati, the staff paid attention to every detail to ensure my stay is comfortable. From room cleaning service to breakfast service, everything was top notch. The staff was professional and friendly. I used the gym, pool and spa at the hotel and all the facilities were clean and updated. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The first experience I had was great because of the upgrade given to us due to the incidence of having someones underwear in one of the cabinet of our designated room last Sept.2024because of this I purchase 4 voucher to come and experience once more the solemnity and elegancy as well as the great hospitality of the place however this second time of stay Oct.2024, upon going to the bar at the 9th floor with my son who happen to look for something to eat upon arrival amaze the scenery of the place and took a lot of picture we felt humiliated with one of the waitress told us “are we just there for picture or are we going to order drinks since the kitchen already close?”OMG I am speechless and shocked!we almost forgot why we got there!since they said that the kitchen is close, we just rushingly went down to our room, I never had the chance to feel the calmness of the bed because of that incident, I wake up early swim to the pool trying to remove that memory back to the room and still cannot calm then I try to go the spa have some mineral pool bath and steam room luckily I just alone and have time to cry then I go back to the room and start telling my children to pack and we checked out, the front desk are very accommodating I told the incident and they are very sorry about what happen and Sir Aki personally apologise and assuring that they will review training and protocols for proper approaching the guest
