Brilliant location on the harbour v convenient for ferries, trams and trains. Also mesmerising watching the comings and goings on the harbour. Also good that Pullman Quay Grand has apartments for rooms with all the conveniences they offer. We have stayed there a lot and never tire of it.

Amazing Pullman Grand Quay

My family and I stayed 4 nights at Pullman Grand Quay. We were in the 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the garden. It was the best hotel we stayed in during the 2 week trip. The apartment was very spacious and very clean. Garden view is nothing special but we did get to see the Sydney Opera House from the balcony. Location is unbeatable for tourists who want to be in the thick of the action. The lift goes directly to the 1st floor which opens up to the promenade and wharfs. Step through the glass doors and immediately soak up the bustle and vibes of Sydney. Sydney Opera House is a 7 min walk away. The trams and monorail both stop a short walk away. Breakfast is ala carte style, not buffet, not unlimited. It is definitely quality over quantity. We tried most of the items on the menu during our stay and all were good. The pizzeria attached to the hotel has very nice food, definitely recommend it. We will stay in Pullman again if we visit Sydney again!

The location of the hotel is fabulous, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. However, the room was not as good as we expected. We paid a small fortune to stay six nights in a room with a harbour view over NYE. We had previously stayed in the same type of room two years ago. Sadly, time has not been kind to the rooms! The telephone in the room did not work; it was reported on day two but not fixed until our last day. One of the wardrobe doors has sagged on its hinges and now scrapes across the carpet, making it hard to open. The balcony sunscreens have been disabled due to health and safety concerns ... one fell off into the plaza below some time ago, so they all need replacing. In general, the rooms are looking tired and in need of a facelift. Since our last stay, the restaurant area has been totally revamped and rebranded, which is nice. However, the first priority of any luxury hotel should be the comfort of the customers ... for the money we paid, this was not as good as we expected.

Likewise, we appreciate your understanding regarding the balcony sunscreens; while their removal was necessary for guest safety, we acknowledge the impact this has had and can confirm that replacement solutions are currently being planned. You are absolutely right that guest comfort is the cornerstone of a luxury hotel experience. While we are pleased that you noticed the recent refurbishment of our restaurant, we recognize that investment in our guestrooms is equally important.
