Shabby Leisure Centre Facilities

Used the leisure centre and again just want to reiterate that the gents changing rooms have over 50 lockers but still only maybe 6 lockers with keys all bunched in a corner, lockers need repairs and keys replaced. The rest area in the leisure centre reception area has seats that are falling apart and an embarrassment plus the drinks machine is a total rip off with drinks at £1 a cup but you only get a very small amount. This has the makings of a great centre but is shabby in most areas!!

Poor experience. Here on business and was given room 21 on the top floor which is a pain as no lifts ( or we didn’t know about them ) So had loads of stairs to contend with, with luggage. Room tiny, bed tiny. Just not adequate. Room was clean though. I wanted a bath and no plug. Asked reception for plug and was promised one. 40 minutes later and still no plug and time is ticking away as we are going to dinner. Then try calling reception only for nobody to answer. Then husband has to go back downstairs and collar a manager who didn’t seem to understand what a flipping bath plug is.

Had a wonderful time. Slightly let down by: 1. Final bill having a discrepancy and despite contacting hotel still not reimbursed the £20.50 over charge. 2. Spa lockers ….guests had removed all the keys so had to leave valuables in an unsecured locker.

We made a reservation for an overnight stay because we were attending a family wedding. We can’t fault anything really. Room was a tad tiny but still everything you need and a wonderful shower! But overall the staff were really friendly and the wedding was wonderful. We would love to stay again and maybe get the chance to use the Spa.
