Miami Marketta, Miami

23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami.
Opening hours: Wednesday 5pm-10pm, Friday 5pm-11pm and Saturdays 4pm-11pm.
Miami Marketta located in Miami is sure to keep the whole family happy – even the fussy eaters. Offering over 25 vendors selling cuisine from all over the world, Miami Marketta makes mealtime a breeze.
Communal tables in the centre of the hall make it easy for families to meet and enjoy dishes from all over the globe together while live performances from musicians and artists keep everyone entertained – there is even a dancefloor for the little ones to have a boogie. 
Keep an eye out for the Desert Hall which holds an array of after-dinner treats for the kids to drool over. Parents will also be glad to know that there are two licenced venues pouring locally brewed beers and boutiques wines. 
Miami Marketa is open from 4pm daily with free entry and will see you coming back time after time to try all the different food on offer.

A favourite for locals and visitors alike, Paddock Bakery in Miami serves up delicious baked goods in an old renovated Queenslander home with plenty of charm. 
Some kid favourites on the menu include freshly-baked doughnuts and giant cookies – along with the more substantial ‘dippy eggs’ with sourdough along with the Aussie classic iced Milo. While parents can choose from a range of cooked and healthy breakfast options. The café also caters to food intolerances and preferences by offering a range of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.
Looking to pick something up to enjoy back at home? Luckily, Paddock Bakery lets you pre-order your baked goods online ahead of time so there is not missing out on your family favourites.
This gorgeous little gem of a bakery’s large open garden is surrounded by a quaint picket fence, so the kids can play freely. There is also plenty for them to explore. From veggie patches, lavender gardens and citrus trees outside, as well as a large viewing window into the bakery inside, giving them a sneak peek into how their delicious baked goods are made.

Dune Café, Palm Beach

Nestled right in the heart of lively Palm Beach and overlooking the popular Currumbin Lagoon, Dune Café is a firm family favourite. With plenty of green space for the kids to roam around, and the famous Pirate Treasure Island Playground within eyesight, the kids will be kept busy all afternoon. 
Boasting an impressive kid-friendly menu, Dune café is sure to cater to even the fussiest eaters. Choose from kids’ breakfast options such as banana and blueberry pancakes, and eggs on toast along with cheeseburgers and fish and chips for lunch – there are also great breakfast and lunch picks for adults too. 
Café goers are free to grab one of the tables outside or even roll out a picnic rug on the grass and enjoy the live music which is played on the last Saturday of every month.

Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday and Saturday 7am-10pm and Sunday 7am-5pm.
For families looking for a café that is kid-friendly, but not overrun by kids, BSKT Café on Nobby Beach is the place to go. With a menu lined with healthy breakfast & lunch options, this place will have parents smiling. Plus, all kids’ meals come with a free juice and little ones eat free every Friday night.
Known for their inclusive paleo, gluten-free and locally-sourced organic menu options, BSKT is a surprising hit with kids thanks to their berrylicious pancakes, tacka tacos and flatbread ham and cheese toasties – along with Coco Whip, (a healthy soft serve that’s vegan and dairy-free).
An attached playground inside a fenced-off area will have the kids tired out by mealtime while giving parents some peace and quiet to enjoy their morning coffee. If visiting on Friday or Saturday, families can also enjoy dinner at BSKT Café, a great low-key meal for families returning from a day out exploring.
