Movenpick Teuta Kotor bay is a stunning new hotel. Starting with the positives we travelled as a family and found our room to be of a very high standard with high quality bed linen and comfort the house keeping team did a fantastic job on a daily basis. The pool and beach areas are also aesthetically of a very high standard. It should be made known to incoming guests prior to their arrival that certain parts of the hotel have not yet been built and that there is no signage for safety around the pool areas. Upon arrival despite previous communication via email and also with the accor /movenpick reservations team our room had been booked for 2 adults and 1 child . Our room type a double room with sofa bed states that it is in fact suitable for up to 5 people as confirmed by the reservations team and again via email directly with the hotel we had made our booking for the room for 2 adults and 2 children. This was not initially recognised by the Reception team upon our arrival until i showed them the email communication. The Reception team also held on to our passports which i am not sure is normal practice in Montenegro but this was not communicated to us and actually caused a panic on our leaving day in our thinking we had misplaced our passports. Prior to our arrival i had also asked about booking on a half board basis which i was advised that i would be able to take up with the hotel upon arrival. When my family and i went down to dinner on the first evening we were told that the price that day had been changed to €50 per adult not the €38.50 euro i had been advised of on email and if we wanted to proceed we would have 3 options veg /meat or fish per evening and a starter and a dessert (no choice on option) and our children could pick from limited items of a list that had been produced on a4 paper of which not all were available. After having dined on the half board basis on the first night we chatted to a couple at the pool who had also enquired re half board and were not happy with the limited option of 3 choices and who had complained and had then throughout their holiday dined on a half board basis using the al a carte menu, a menu we were never offered or saw despite me asking about that option on our 2nd evening. We dined on the 2nd evening at the hotel but thereafter elsewhere due to the lack of flexibility shown and not being given the same treatment /options of other guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was of a very high quality and also the al a carte option which was of a great standard. The gentleman with the glasses in the F and B team was fantastic and very helpful and polite (apologies for not noting his name). This gentleman actually delivered fresh milk to our room for us to make coffee which was great as sadly although there is a great compliment of coffee pods and sachets there was no milk as standard in the rooms. The second time i requested milk 2 days later none was supplied or explanation given (long life milk cartons could be provided). Our children enjoyed the play room at the hotel and the lady we met who worked there was lovely. Nice clean facilities. Whilst we were there a parent brought his young child in approx 4 years of age and told the lady he was leaving said child for an hour and he would be back but no contact details /room number etc given which could prove to be a future safe guarding issue for the hotel which i would suggest needs to be addressed. Pool and beach -fantastic facilities and absolutely stunning views we loved both. Towels- one day no towels available at all, or lifeguards visible so i requested assistance from f and b team member who when a lifeguard finally turned up about 20/30 mins later he asked where he and his colleague had been as they could not be found. Perhaps a better system or towel allocation be put in place and also signs as to when lifeguards are on duty. Spa and Indoor pool -Again fantastic facilities and great that children are able to use the indoor pool until 6pm which our children loved. I would suggest that children are limited to the indoor pool area are as i did experience 2 children under the age of 3 sitting in the foot spas whilst their parent was relaxing in the sauna . Again a possible safety issue with this. Chocolate hour - We loved and appreciated this on a daily basis thank you. As a family really enjoyed our stay and feel that small changes as outlined above would really make a big difference to future guests experiences of the hotel which would definitely benefit everyone.

While the hotel markets itself as a 5-star establishment, the service and attitude towards guests are well below average. It started with basic room issues: upon arrival, the minibar fridge was broken, leaving our drinks warm. It was replaced, but it took a full 24 hours to cool down. Furthermore, the cabinet door housing the fridge was left unattached after the "repair"—just another detail adding to the general sense of negligence. Additionally, our key cards stopped working three or four times during our stay, forcing us to go down to the reception to have them reprogrammed repeatedly. Most frustrating, however, was the complete disregard for the personalization process the hotel itself imposes on guests. A week before our arrival, Ivona Vuksic contacted us with a series of questions to make our stay more comfortable. We took the time to answer every point, including the fact that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and my gluten allergy. The result? We received no acknowledgment of our anniversary, and the allergy request turned into a case of dangerous negligence. For a 5-star hotel, it is unacceptable that there was not even basic gluten-free bread available. Moreover, the carrot cake was incorrectly labeled as "gluten-free," even though the texture clearly indicated otherwise. When we asked, the chefs later confirmed it contained wheat flour. Misleading guests with food allergies is not only unprofessional—it is a serious health hazard. The spa service also leaves much to be desired: the water in the sauna area runs out, and no one bothers to refill it. This hotel shows zero appreciation for their guests' time and fails to maintain even basic food safety standards. I strongly advise against staying here if you are expecting the level of service that corresponds to a 5-star rating.

Review: The hotel has a beautiful location and view, but unfortunately the service did not meet expectations. The bathroom lights kept turning off automatically while showering, which was very frustrating. A technician came to check the issue, said he would return in two minutes, but never came back. Housekeeping was slow and inconsistent. Even though I left tips daily, the room was often not cleaned to the standard I expected. The reception staff seemed too focused on payments rather than guest satisfaction. I was repeatedly reminded about small amounts on my bill, which left a negative impression. Overall, the property has potential, but the service quality and attention to guests need significant improvement
