As an Accor Platinum Member I would expect a better treatment - as we are used to have in any other hotels from the brand. We did not get a room upgrade, it wasn't possible to pay the restaurant with points and (believe it or not) not even a welcome drink they were able to serve - even at an Ibis it would be offered. BTW, at the breakfast, you better run from the attendant called Margot - she would speak for hours in french with other guests and pretend she is not seeing you begging for a damn coffee. Would not stay there and would never recommend.

We recently stayed at Mama Shelter Roma and were immediately charmed. The hotel is absolutely adorable – think boutique charm, cozy furnishings, and a lovely, intimate atmosphere. Our room was warm, quiet, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for exploring Rome and near the Vatican City. The only reason for the average rating is the staff's inexperience. Everyone was incredibly friendly and willing to help, but they often seemed unsure of procedures. Check-in took longer than expected, they don’t have room service, simple requests (like refilling of bath gel) required multiple reminders, and recommendations for local dining were very limited. The restaurant receptionist and one of the waiters in the evening were very impolite and not adequately trained in customer service protocols. This hotel has tremendous potential. With more training and perhaps a seasoned manager on the floor to guide the team, it could be a 5-star experience.

From the moment we arrived at the reception until our departure, everything was wonderful. We were immediately impressed by the unique design of the hotel, both in the lobby and in the room. Very stylish and modern. The room was spacious and warm, with high-speed internet. The bathroom design was also excellent, and the water pressure was perfect (we stayed on the second floor). We didn’t hear any noise from other rooms or the hallway, even though the hotel was fully booked — a testament to the great soundproofing. Our windows faced a small, quiet street, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. The Cyprus metro station was just a 5-minute walk away, and there were many cafes and restaurants nearby, plus a supermarket just 3-4 minutes away. When we were leaving, a lovely lady at reception helped us book a taxi. We loved everything about our stay!
