As I wrote above, it was a very comfortable stay with good staff and delicious food. But there is room to improve sustainability efforts. Whenever I returned to my room, the key was in, even though I had pulled it out. GSTC certification requires no plastic water bottles, but I got two plastic water bottles. There was no information on local nature and culture, including appropriate behaviors for being a more responsible visitor to Shenzhen. The TV screen room service QR code did not work.

Less food choices in breakfast then my previous stays. Too crowded, and there were no controls of people coming in where I had no table to sit. Once I found a table, I placed a glasses of orange juice there then to go and get some good, only found out upon my return that the table is taken. The proper bread heater is also gone, with only the toaster left but clearly that is not hot enough and unsuitable. The replenishing of dish also not quick enough.

Booked the superior suite for anniversary celebration, the staff was so nice and arranged complimentary late check out, the suite was spacious, however, bathtub water not hot enough, and housekeeper did not refill our coffee capsules and clean the living room table, other than that, it was a nice stay!

As a Gold member, I was deeply disappointed the promised birthday decoration for my wife—which we had to remind the hotel about twice—was only set up after breakfast the next morning, making the gesture feel entirely insincere and leaving us feeling undervalued throughout our stay.Add on that my room upgrade was not done at all.
