Being member of the Accor group of hotels and having stayed in several Mercure hotels , Hotel Mercure Quemado Resort in Al Hoceima has to be the worst. We stayed 2 nights in Al Hoceima on our two weeks holidays of beautiful Morocco. This resort served old stale breads for breakfast . The food served were substandard quality . The coffee machine was dirty . There were bread crumbs all over the buffet table. The bread toaster was unclean. Through out our holidays in Morocco we had eaten the most delicious bread cakes and drank the most delicious local coffee. In this Mercure we are shocked to see only old breads cakes and terrible coffee were served as breakfast. Very bad image of Mercure.

Hotel is situated at the bottom of asleep hill, however, hotel os very clean and all rooms have great views of the Mediterranean. Only issue i had, was after breakfast, no bar / restaurant open during the day to buy a drink or order food. You had to walk, either up the steep hill or a 15 minute walk to restaurants at other side of marina. We used the SPA facilities and was very good and reasonably priced. Overall , good but was highly inconvenienced with no food or drink during the day.

The room was chic, comfortable and clean. All the staff (housekeeping , restaurant, front desk) attended to our needs very promptly and warmly. We would especially like to thank Ayoub, Abdillah, Sihem & wiam for their excellent care for us. We were extremely touched and thankful. The location of the hotel was also great. Transportation to tourist attractions was very convenient. We will definitely return to stay on our future trips to El Hoceima.
