The chefs, and the Lobby Bar were fantastic! They catered to my allergies. Front Desk and communication from the hotel needs improvement. As a platinum member they completely did not meet expectations. They over promise and under deliver. I contacted the hotel in advance to arrange requirements with my status. Everything was arranged, as I have emails to support communication, but when I arrived they refused to accept the membership. If this location is going to become a Fairmont the Front Desk Staff need to be trained to meet standards.

This was our third stay, our first stay was when it was under Anantara and it has changed since becoming part of Accor. We feel it has lost its personal charm. Previously on arrival you would get a hot drink/tea as part of check in which was a simple touch a nice warm welcome to the hotel, not anymore under Accor. Our rooms were okay, they do need a little updating. We did have an issue with our furniture on our balcony it needed some cushions. I asked at the front desk four times for these - it was never done. We also had issues with a guest leaving their dog unattended in the room next door, all night barking ! Had to go to reception to complain luckily was resolved. Also, as part of our holiday I was going to use the SPA facilities, but unfortunately they had to cancel due to staff sickness and the SPA was completely shut for the whole weekend. I was surprised they didn’t have contract staff who could have covered the treatments for the clients that had booked in ? It is part of the resort, Golf resort & Spa and part of what they offer ?

The hotel is truly beautiful, exceptionally well maintained, and every detail has clearly been carefully thought through. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, elegant and perfectly organised. The staff were absolutely fantastic: kind, attentive and extremely professional, always ready to help and always with a genuine smile. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality really made a difference throughout our stay. Unfortunately, we only had the chance to stay for three nights, but everything was impeccable from beginning to end. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy a few days away. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Victoria Resort Golf & Spa to anyone looking for a beautiful hotel, excellent service and a truly relaxing experience.
