We arrived expecting to check in at the advertised time of 3:00pm, however, we were not able to access our room until 4:20pm. We were repeatedly told it would be “soon,” which led us to believe the wait would be brief. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We were travelling with three young children who by the time we were finally able to access the room were completely exhausted and beside themselves. Overall, the experience was frustrating and did not reflect the level of service we were expecting.

Interesting and enjoyable lovely friendly staff very central to bike tracks and golf good bed and nice spa with native birds calling in the overhead trees. A short drive to Taupo. Huka falls nearby. Great food and breakfast. Will certainly come back.

Room needs an upgrade. No body wash or soap in shower. Shower over the bath, these days need a walk in shower. Heater not able to regulate.
